In the last Test series that Dravid played (Tour to Sri Lanka), he averaged 19 in the 3 Test series.

Find out how much Sehwag averaged in the same series.

Ya right. You must be even more specific like in the last 2 second innings compare the averages? Da. You can not compare two players based on three tests. They both are unique players. While Shewag shines with his massive and quick scores, Dravid is mr. Dependable. If you want some one to stay at the wicket for two days Only Dravid can do it. Shewag cannot.

dhoni must have enjoyed honey moon completely 100 % to shri lanka in stead of playing he must have handed over the wheel of TITANIC to Viru in 1-1-1 drawn test series & lost OOD series in lanka 2010. Dhoni is confused
on the other hand viru is confident like King ANGAD

A wishful thought.

On a given day Indian batters have constepations and struggled to score runs. Whereas, bowlers has have loose motions can allow oponents to make merry. Remember, after IPL, all firang import...Kallis, Taylor, Watson, White, Bravo,Gayle,Pollard,Dilshan and others can negotiate the dusty Indian pitches. These talented lot will return in WC 2011 to haunt India and rub salt to the injuries. Look at the Indian grounds, you can arrange kitty parties, reception, soccer match, funerals. this is crude reality. the pitches were prepared by a gardener(Maali) not by soil scientist. the pitch can't hold for 30 mins, dust are visible. In India, you win the toss, you win the match. As nobody can chase a mere 250 score in second innings.Even a duffer like sehwag and yuvraj pick wickets and dull, flat pitches. Sometime they are our strike bowlers, despite they failed miserably with their bat. They retained their places as bowlers. Hey all Australia's 433 was chased by SA, when ground was neutral and match was on equal measures. look at our captains, they bribed the curator to uproot all the grass to pile records. That what we all are good at.

sehwag never improved his game ...still playing with same "faulty" footwork....still throwing his bat to away going deliveries....advantage is all his inningses are played on bowlers grave yards....very ordinary lankan attack.....he is the biggest "flat pitch bully".....just a bit of swing and bounce...gone without a trace.....all his scores are on a beautiful batting pitches.....
these days he is talking a lot of rubbish....should concentrate on playing and surviving on a seaming pitch rather than commenting like this.....not a reliable opener on thiese kind of pitches...

u know nothing abt players ability....pitch condition...foot work...technic...
but u know only...dada....that's it..
if u dont understand "cricket" and especialy finer aspect of the game....technical ability of a player....getlost frm here..!!!!
dont write a "rubbish" like this....bengali's dont understand cricket...only "ganguly"....
idiots like u can consider him next to sachin ...
a flat pitch bully who cant even play 5 good overs on swinging and seaming pitch conditions....
sit and watch dravid's batting on a good pitch....u come to know what test cricket batting and batsmenship is all abt......know a thing abt footwork....sehwag doesent have this vital things....he never survives aginst quality pace attack under these conditions....
have proper cricket knowledge....not players knowledge....

When excitement blinds one's vision, the big hundreds scored by Viru on Australian soil are forgotten.

SA have bouncy pitches helping their seamers, England have seaming conditions where their seamers thrive, with the disappearance of the feared battery of fast bowlers in West Indies, their pitches have become as docile as in the subcontinent, Srilanka have pitches which suit their spinners.

So what is the big deal about Indians preferring to have pitches suiting them?

You expect the Indian batting stars to adjust themselves in conditions abroad and prove their worth. So what holds you from expecting batsmen from abroad to adjust to Indian conditions and pull off wins?

well... india dont have pitches these days....only "mud tracks"...
BCCI calls them pitches....
most of the pitches cant even survive for 5 days....deteriorate and become dust bowls.....curator deliberately under prepares them to suite "flat pitch bullies" and spinners.....pitches in ENG, SA, and AUS remain the same for "ages"...but not in india...all dead and buried

Overseas team always in competitive matches. Pacers vs pacers, batters vs batters. You can't expect Harbhajan to open the bowling attack. Did you? Our pace battery hardly clock 135-145 kmph barrier. Praveen-120-125, Zaheer-115-125,Ishant-125-135. Sharme warne took 700 test wickets and Mcgrath 600 . Kumble took almost 19 years to complete 600 mark. What about the Indian pacers? Ahhm, hmmm, Ahhm. 150 wickets are their benchmark. Why other scored over India in championship after championship....our batters can't score freely barring docile wickets and bowlers can't defend a paltry total. Batsman and bowler look upto each other....and say bhai bacha le aaj. :)
