Stop watching cricket
by Sachin Joshi on Sep 10, 2010 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

Ppl should stop watching cricket. You can't trust any player or any match result. I'm not going to watch Champions League or any tournaments after that. Cricketers and cricket boards are making mockery of sentiments of fans.

Sorry, mathilakath, cricket is not a complete team game like football, basketball etc.It is a very ambiguous game with lots of loopholes that it is very easy to do match-fixing.
It is very difficult to match-fix football, etc. It requires the co-operation of a no.of players to do match-fixing in team games like football.A single player can match-fix a cricket match.

Majority of cricketers are clean. It is not correct to blame cricket for act of a chosen group of people. Such corrupt people are there in every field. Think of Kapil dev, Kumble, Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and Ganguli. These people could be ever trusted. If ICC and local Boards are strong this fixing evils can easily be killed. If Board like PCB exists which back its players in spite of solid proof it is difficult. ICC should take action against Board in such instance. Kapil dev's press statement appeared in media today calling severe action against offenders is very correct.

Even if England's players were clean was there in point in watching matches if Paki players threw the matches? Its the few wrong players which create doubts over match results. And in that case there is no point in watching a match and wasting your time.
