its not cricket its only tamasha
by pavan pandey on Sep 10, 2010 01:38 PM  | Hide replies

My request to all indians is that dont watch this tamasha as it is ruining the original cricket. it is killing the beauty of criket and promoting match fixing. You a lot of players have quit the test and one day international carrer to be available for this form of cricket which gives them more money

Dude, you are in a minority! Already, sponsors are queing up for 2020. What is meant by beauty of the game btw? Test match is an outdated concept, spending 5 days in todays fast moving globalised world is not on. After a hards days work, theres nothing that i like more than putting my feet up and watching my team RCB ina ction. The thrills given by the likes of robin, taylor, pandey etc is far better than watching a boring days test match.2020 is the future man, and I am gonna watch each match live, and whats more Big B is one of the promoters as well. We should be actually be thankful to lalit modi, as he made this idea a reality, and made it a billion dollar enterprise within 3 yrs.

new code of conduct for the match fixers
by suresh iyer on Sep 10, 2010 01:31 PM

In IPL T20 matches there r atleast 20 players within arms length of match fixers and gangsters. No calls can be traced as they speak on mobile phones belonging to fictitious names. On n off field proximate communication will not be direct anymore even with common contacts of match fixers. A whole list of actions n corresponding meanings are now in place. match fixers and their cronies will be wearing a particular type of shirt/dress and seated all round the stadium. signals from players wl be varied like hand raising, knee rolling, hip revolving, tying lace bfore the over starts- how many times the lace is tied will indicate the ball in the over that wl be a no ball etc. Batsman who wants to get out in the over he is facing will indicate by raising his bat in an odd manner or removing gloves and putting them suddenly after a ball is bowled and may other signals now scripted and ready.
So watch every move in the stadia n u wl now know how a match is fixd. Cheer leaders are there only to distract viewers so that any foul play is not noticed. Ignore the cheer leaders and the game - watch only the players and their gazes into the stadium or the pavilion. The match fixers have now enlisted journalists, photographers, policemen, ground staff n many others to be errand boys n messengers, Many may not what their work is -but each activity they do gets a message across and a bet is swayed the Fixers way.Only God can help stop these games and fraud. Will HE do anything?

Champions league will surely rock!
by sandeep kumar on Sep 10, 2010 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

Its the pinnacle of club sporting competition and I am eagerly looking forward to it, and since I am a techie from blore, hope that RCB rolls over the competition. Pakistans antics have dampened the mood somewhat, but onec the battle starts eyes are gonna be glued to the TV sets. And there are pubs in blore which will telecast all matches every ball, so cricket nuts like me are in for a great one month. Hope its an all IPL clash in the final, to really show that India is the place to be for cricket.
Go RCB!

Cricket is not a complete team game like football, basketball etc.It is a very ambiguous game with lots of loopholes that it is very easy to do match-fixing.
It is very difficult to match-fix football, etc. It requires the co-operation of a no.of players to do match-fixing in team games like football.A single player can match-fix a cricket match.

very true. the same dhoni seems to have forgotten all those shots for which he is known for. he unleashes his shots against hapless toothless club bowlers in the ipl

It is time we stop spending so much on Cricket and the valuable time and start promoting Hockey,Football, Badminton, Tennis, Kabadi, Track n Field and the less-popular sporting events in India. Lets take this as a wake-up call and start a fresh revolution of the games in India...think abt the shame of the Common Wealth Games corruption and scandals, the budget for the games have crossed 7600%. All our hard earned tax- payers money. Only God can save this nation
