Indian Government can make a rule that all income arising from Sports should be channeled to poverty alleviation and a five year period should be fixed to remove the poverty. Remaining as a poor or beggar should be discouraged. They should make physical labour when they get free supply of food. Cricket lovers will have sense of pride in that process that their manhour wasted in watching the daylong matches are best utilised.

Punish those who made the controls and policies, how could they fail the cricket lovers, these dumbheads escape punishment and the poor players who exposed the weakness of the systemn are being punished. Infact the trio of pak players must be rewarded for breaking the weak controls and for exposing the ineffiency of the icc corruption unit.

Well done Aamir, Asif and Salman, unfortunately there's no jsutice for your goodwork, nevertheless you have doen a great job.

Mr. Pilley, This ICC is goon of dacoits you don't know even after so many years of intellegance unti or corruption unit all are farce to protect corruption and eye wash scheme of ICC.
All Cricketers and Administrators are had and gloves with Bookies thats why they are not unearthing only outsiders independent media can unearth this. Its laughable and redicelous to believe.

ICC is official mafia manage at the behast of Bookies and thats why ICC cannot take action against corrupt players since all players knows ICC is corrupt and most cricket boards also involve making money through bookies like ICC making manoey through bookies.

Give them Exemplary Punishment
by Shafat Ahmed on Sep 06, 2010 12:13 PM  | Hide replies

I may be sounding harsh, but I believe the older two of the three should be hanged at Lords and the youngest of the three should be made to witness that. Witnessing it too would be a very severe punishment

Don't blain only them. ICC/PCB/BCC all boards and above all fanatic followers and fans of Cricket game are responsible for this. These fans made them vulnerable.

Amir's age
by mohammed ali on Sep 06, 2010 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

It seems Salman Butt and the company have been involved in the SPOT FIXING. Salman Butt along with Asif might have tempted the immature Amir. Comming from a very poor family this boy might have agreed to the fixing. A thorough enquiry will reveal the truth. If it is found that Amir has been tempted or presurised then he should be let off with a stern warning or limited suspension. But the other two culprits should not be allowed within the vicinity of a cricket ground.

Everyone is talking about Amir being pressurized or coaxed into this. If he is so innocent and to be excused as Mike Artherton and other players are asking for, then why did he not tell the truth even after the videos going public, the second one coming yesterday. He cheats because he is innocent and now does not reveal the truth because he is innocent? The punishment to him should be also harsh if not similar to what Salman and Asif deserve. It should be life ban for these two anyway as it looks like they have been professional fixers for a long time

This is the most stupid approach advocated by Lorgat.Amir must be given life ban . Only such deterrent punishment will ensure that future youngsters do not feel that that becayse of age they can get away with lighter punishment and therefore may be tempted to do wrong with impunity. One must not send a message that younger culprits can escape with lighter punishment and therefore they should indulge in heraferi

Coming from a poor back ground does not warrant a lenient punishment. Then let us reconsider the case of Kasab even he too comes from a poor back ground. the real culprits are te ones who barin wash these kids in doing so.The so called mullahs and religious fanatics should be caught and shot point blank in full public view. These kind pf punishments can deter people in misguiding the youths of any religion be it Hindu or a muslim etc etc

Dear Shruthi,

Sister it is not concerned with Mullah aur Masjid. It is sheer Money Game. In our country daily hundreds of Youth caught with such crimes, like Fake currency, Drug trafficing and many. You should differentiate, Whats wrong. Give a child candy he will tell you his home stories. Spot fixing is the invention of this sting operation. Because this player never knew about this so they become easy pray. It convince them that there is no harm and it is safe. These guys become victim of such sting operations, otherwise they might be not involved.
