Yes.. so that our players can start legally throwing matches by putting money on benami basis in betting. And it is also one more avenue for corrupt politicians and businessmen to mint money. Of course.. it does not matter to this govt that the common man is likely to become a gambling addict as a result.
India has come back two times in the recent past in the final and won after being thrashed in the league stages. Probe especially the two matches between India and NZ in the last Tri Series in Sri Lanka. There was a definite shady element in those matches. Seemed like a mutual understanding and money-making exercise.
only fixing all the matches takes place. people stop watching cricket forever, 8 hours for one day, and 5 days for test, what a waste of time spent on these fixers. why we want to waste our time for someone to make money.
What makes Dhoni so sure of the match fixing in indian cricket? It happened in past & might happen again in near future. So cant be so sure about others.Money is such a big greed, anyone can stoop to filthy standards so our players are no saints!!Mr. Dhoni please refrain yourself from making such childish statements!
If it won't happen in Indian Cricket, what were Azhar and Ajay Jadeja doing? Fact is it's easy money and we all know how motivated our players are to earn. In fact, it's the only thing they care about. Cricket and politics in India are very similar. Ostensibly, one is played for the love of the game and the other is carried out for public good and a desire to serve society. But the dark side of both is corruption, underworld involvement and crooked shady deals that are completely opaque.

I'll give you an example. MohammedKaif is considered one of the best fielders in Indian Cricket and when he was playing international, was among the best in the world. But see the IPL match of KXIP against BRC where BRC chased down 200 with ease. He dropped a catch at the boundary and allowed it to go for a six. It was obvious that he had controlled the ball and had dropped it across the rope. I don't think that drop was an accident at all.
Match-fixing won't happen in Indian cricket because of our real professional system in place...Plus payers existing and ex players are also taken care. Above all Most of the Indian Players are well educated and come from a good back ground........

Murali:
Very well said. Indian team does not need match fixing. They are fully capable of losing matches after matches purely based on their own "talent"... :)

boss, money is money... what is the problem in getting one penny more.. In this country, we have petty police men, small clerks to army officers (civil engineers etc) to chief ministers demanding money due to their corrupt nature. Now, when the whole sect is corrupt - why cannot we include the cricketers there??

I agree to dhoni that beyond a point, lure of money fades. If every indian cricketer is already well fad, there is certainly very less motivation to get the money illegally. Take for e.g. you are less likely to REACH OUT to and underworld goon for employment even if it can potentially earn you 100 times more than what you are earning. However, a penniless, uneducated youth would do that.
Not after Ganguly and Dhoni took charge of the team. It may have happened under Bazaaruddin and Badeja's captaincy but not after Dada became the captain.

Looks like somebody is a friend of Dada and Dhoni.
