Hey Rahul. Read all your comments. Just wondering what caused that constipation.. Incidentally there are excellent laxatives in the market nowadays to take care of your problem. While you go search for them, leave us in peace and let us admire a guy who has given his heart and soul for a game which at least puts us inthe world map. Just coz he didnt world cup doesnt put him behinf Kirti Azad, who did. But then that would be an intelligent discussion, pardon for unleashing that on you. God bless you and all the bet for your constipation !

Sachin's association with IAF is an excellent step. His character, humility, dedication, passion on the field and demeanour on & off the field is a blessing. May he inspire many young Indians to dedicate their lives to let "satya-meva-jayate" in India.

The greatest player ever!
by nisha thoas on Sep 03, 2010 07:47 PM  | Hide replies

I havent seen viv, sobers, bradman, gavaskar, since i was born in the late 80s, but hes the greatest since 1990 easily. 20 years of sterling service, and he has remained humble about it. Compared to the present day batsman, who lack his commitment and technique, we need to treasure people like him and saurav and dravid, who changed the face of indian cricket since 2000.Hope the 2011 WC comes to us, with SRT as the man of the series. That would complete a perfect career.

Why this honour...........shame on Air Force.
by Brijesh on Sep 03, 2010 07:46 PM  | Hide replies

Nothing to take away from Tendulkar, but why to honour him with captain of Air force.

What has cricketing achivement to do with Air force captain ranking....it is an insult to those Army officials who have achived this honour after serving the country on border for so long..... this simply does no make sence.

Sachin is the best player to pick up a bat ever, no doubt on that.....he has made country proud in cricket and he is one of the best down to earth celebrity of India.....all this is good, but you cannot just honour a captain status of Air force.......to just any one.

I feel it is an insult to those Army officers who has earned this honour of being a captian of Air force, after sacrificing there family life by staying so long on borders to secure this country......it is a shame to those officer who has given there lifes keeping this country safe.......this are the people who has earn to become a captain...........

India need to grow up and be more professional than an emotional country.

Sir with all due respect, please read my comment again, I did not write any negative thing about Sachin and do not even intent to.....He is the Best ever, no doubt.

My comment was strickly on Air force to give away a honour of Captian to a person who has nothing to do with Air force....I feel bad about those officers who has achieved this status with hard work.

As per as world cup is concern, you must know that there are 11 cricketers in a team and all are responsibly to win the world cup. If you check Sachin's last world cup record, you will find out that he did his part.

Sachin is the best ever in cricket and we need to recognise his achivements in Cricket.........but not in Air force and those two are simply two different things.

Do you know a movie acted by Tom Cruise during the 90s.. a movie named Top Gun, the enrollment to the american army doubled after this movie. That is why army always supports producers taking such movies. If people can buy products which sachin endorses, why not try him as a brand ambassador for air force? Just don't look at everything with a negative mindset..

Does Gp Capt sachin can stop or motivate young boys, who are in thousand, going discharge from indian air force every years.IAF has to change the air force rule and regulation of 1932 made by Brtishers and design fresh air force rule and act which suites according to indian standered.i know they dont have the will to do and even they will be kicked out sachin also if he think also in this matter.

Mr. Ajithkumar, if that was the case than why bombay is not able to reduce power consumption and water consumption when Sachin did the add to save water and electricty....if you know the serve the usuage was more or the same after the advertisment hence they have to take it off from the Air.

We do not want youngster's to join Air force just because Sachin is accosiated with it.....We want a person to join Air force only if he feels it from the heart.

We all know how many great players Sachin has given to Cricket so far........so lets not talk about it.

Idiot do u know that how many offeicers posts are vacant in armed forces today? Almost 30-40% posts are vacant now as nobody wants to dare to do armed forces duty! When a Icon like Sachin is indicted in IAF it inspires the young generation! It is the practice of other nations also.

And SACHIN is the best Brand Ambassador any organization will like to have..

Looking at his photograph still reminds one of the Sachin saving India on his first of many such innings, at Old Trafford in 1990. Amazing he still looks so fresh and rejuvenated, not to speak of his accomplishments in the past 2 years that makes you wonder will his powers ever wane? Truly God's gift to the country. Fortunate to have had the pleasure to see him play in our lifetime.

Cricket is more popular in India than it was during Kapil's time. Chess is a brainy game but unpopular among the masses, obviously the recognition goes to anything that is more popular. You can only feel bad for Vishwanathan Anand but you can't condemn Sachin for being more popular.

But i don't think this will sink into your pea sized brain. Moreover, i think i'm wasting my time trying to convince a moron like you. I have better things to do in life.
