sachin the great - but thats not fare
by julian dasan on Sep 08, 2010 11:04 AM  | Hide replies

i am a bi fan of sachin - i love watching his game... he is great at it...

but what crap is this - he gets into IAF inspite of not competing his HSC

totally unfare - he gets a rank directly just beacuse he wished to be one of the IAF ranking...

i am sure any fathers would have the same dream of his son becoming a IAF ranker or any other such ones
but couldnt get thier dreams fulfilled just beacuse his son was not good in studies... or could not score a biggie in HSC...

i am sure sachin would go great as an IAF ranker as he would be provided with intense training

well what i am trying to say is - there are kids who wants an entry but could not get in because of their HSC scores or their father did not have much contacts in the higher rank of the IAF - so they are just lsft out where as sachin after retiring from cricket thought he would get in and he gets in easy=ily....
thats not fare mate

he topped the cricket world thru his merit.... but this is not based on his merits.

i am still a fan of him though - dont get me wrong

It is just an honorary rank man.
Its totally fair.
Even Anand (chess), Amitabh etc got doctorate from leading universities.
It is pracriced every where in world . Top creative person in field of sports, art, music etc given highest rank.
Nothin wrong in that.
sachin has not asked for this award but IAF approached him.

by periyasamy r on Sep 05, 2010 11:01 PM

Congrats to sachin and IAF has honoured him for his valuable cricket. India has respected him well for his contribution to indian cricket... congrats ....

Even sachin might not get this post, if he served in IAF instead of cricket..

Sachin, The Immortal
by Baikaar on Sep 04, 2010 03:46 PM  | Hide replies

Well Sachin Ramesh Rendulkar never been long enough as his height could be made out from full-size photos of his.

Since the Master Blaster is part of security forces now, Tendulkar should undergo intense military training and be ready to go to the war front to finish off Pakistan.

Indeed he is very valuable for us. So we should protect him from all dangers. It is good we didn't send him to recent Sri Lankan tour because we are still not sure if the militant Tamil Tigers are finished off completely. So what if India lost the tri-series. At least our darling Sachin is safe. He should be made Immortal - Ever lasting.

He is great cricketer, i agree. And he handled himself inspite of so much money, i agree and role model in that sense. But he is not a role model in any other sense. He want's Bharat Ratna, he almost begs it whenever you ask about it. He is not even modest that there are so many social workers and many in other fields doing wonderful job for the cause of country, but this guy shamelessly says he deserves more than anybody. He is selfish and all these years he played for himself for his self glorification not for the country (@ least 60%). He is really not role model in that regard. I never like such people that all the adulations to be showered only on him though many others deserve it.
