HE HAS TAMPERED THE BALL AND NOT THE MATCH ITSELF. TAMPERING THE BALL WAS DONE BY ALMOST ALL THE BOWLERS WORLD AROUND. NOW THERE ARE 10 TO 20 CAMERAS. IN EARLY 80S AND 90S HOW MANY CAMERAS WERE THERE????? ONE OR TWO. WAKE UP MAN "w a"

Tampering the ball is different from what Sachin did.. Its like holding a knife in a place where a murder happened..
Whoever holds a knife is the killer or the one who killed is a killer??
Ideally he shouldnt have kept his finger on the seam but a single second of a finger on the seam is not going to alter the conditions of the ball.. Anyway, itis still spoken and a blackmark on his career..

India Voice.. U shld be an ashamed indian or a pakistani. Sachin is our national hero.
Not wise for Sachin to open his mouth on such a heated topic.. If he is going to say that he never heard of an Indian player approached by bookies, i dont think he will have any followers on this.. It is either he is so ignorant about the happenings around him or lying(Which he would not considering his stature in the sport and his behaviour on and off the field)..
Being silent would have been better for a icon like him and let the ICC and Cops to decide on the actions!!

Good comment. Is he implying that Azhar, Jadeja were unnecessarily framed? What about Nayan Mongia? Was he unnecessarily dropped?

Wise comment. But, I wonder what made Sachin to come up with this theory when not many Indian players bothered even to go public on the issue.

Not sure.. May be he was asked question by media but a diplomatic answer like "Not sure of what happened.. Police and ICC are closely looking into the matter and hope they will do the things to keep the game clean". This would have suited his image better.
My personal feeling is, it would be wise for all the Indians and Indian media to keep silent fo publish authorised news approved by ICC without showcausing unnnecessary shows with former players and blaming Pakistani culture, their lifestyle, youngsters and their internal affairs.. This would be holding the image of the nation as a neutral rather than giving unnecessary comments and pushing the Pakistanis to revert the blame back to Indians..

@ Krishan, Mate, when you are famous you don't want to say on many issuse but media makes you to say something or anything they want to publish about. I'm also surprised to hear this that he has never come across any such instance. But may be he just wants to say that he has never seen this by himself.
A candle will not lit its own base. Similarly, we can not find out any sort of corruption in India including match fixing. We are that. That is why even Sachin haven't heard of bookies connection with Indian players.

It is true that He (Sachin) has never heard of Indian being approached by bookie. Because it was Azhar and co. who had approached bookie, not the other way.
Well, I feel that IPL is also susceptible to spot fixing. In fact, it might have already been taking place in IPL.
Greed is not limited to any country or people's financial status. Following people can be greedy
--people lacking skills or will to work hard, but longing for being rich fast and easy
--people with defective upbringing i.e people for whom grass is greener on the other side.
Moreover, when top officials of any event like IPL are corrupt themselves and they themselves might be involved in spot fixing or match fixing in IPL, who will catch the spot fixers.
Porki players involved in spot fixing severely to set an example and at the same time we should investigate events like IPL.
