Technology, power of the bats, especially on the meaty side, videos, batsmen friendly pitches, umpires, the whole system favours the batsmen because of the money. Last but not th least, the helmets. No batsman dares to step in to the ground without a helmet. Bradman is superior by a long shot. Sachin is not even close. I can undertsand Sachin's fans support to Sachin- they are nationalistic or passionate about Sachin, but they are not rational!

You need to get yourself checked by a good psychiatrist! Apparently you are a complete loser! Nobody has ever claimed that Sachin is superior to Sir Don, as it is totally absurd to compare the performances of two players from two different centuries! For the same reason, any claim of Sir Don being superior to Sachin would be equally absurd!
Talking of being "rational", please be advised that in those days the red cherry was never hurled at the batsmen at speeds in excess of even 135KMPH!!!! Also, the batsmen of yore did not have to negotiate any hostile, intimidating whispers/shouts by the fielders!!!!

vice versa...it's even more difficult for matsman because of technology as bowlers do make research on batsmen about their weakness, no?

This may also be noted that DON has played most of the matches against england and had face similar type of bowling rather than varieties of bowling, which sachin has faced.

Most facinating thing is his age, and two decade long cricketing life. How many can play such a long innings of 20 years witout dipping? I am sure after 20 years of playing, Don might be having below 50.

For your information Don playing career spanned over two decades. Sachin is undoubtedly among the greatest but Don deserves to be called the greatest.

@ Kapil..of course Sir Don played for two decades but did he play 170 tests and 450 ODI's in that period? Having an avg of 100 isn't a fuke..Hats off to Sir Don...why dont you people accept Sachin's mestro because it's also not fluke to play for 21 years with the same passion and that too carrying out a huge pressure of expectations!

Please check the number of centuries made by all the batsmen outside their countries. Tendulkar has 27 centuries out side India. Almost all the other players have most or atleast 60% of their centuries in their home land. That makes Sachin special.
Sir Bradman was a great cricketer in his own right, and so is Sachin in contemporary cricket. It is both unfair and unwise to compare the two who played the game in different eras under very different circumstances. It would be better if both cricketers (all sportsmen, in fact) and spectators enjoy the sport than chase records to satiate their ego. It one happens to create a record in the process of playing and entertaining the spectators paying for watching them, it's a bonus.
