shane bond a great seamer is not victim of politics but he is victim of constant and relentless injuries which spoiled his career.his nagging groin and shoulder injury relegated him away from cricket for so many days.

good knowledge, now get lost. We are more concerned about Asiads. Who is Bond? Will he ever be remembered by world of sport or people?? This is problem with media, they would be promoting cricket even when olympics or Asiads are round the corner, giving an illusion that cricket is more important than Asiads or Olympics. I mean, wrestling, boxing, table tennis, tennis, badminton, even atheletics are more popular than cricket and they have huge followers in India.

Shane Bond was a good quickie, who had the pace, fluent action and follow through to be one of the really great quicks of all times. But sadly injuries and some unfortunate happenings in his career ruined his chances.

Nevertheless he will be remembered as possibly the quickest pace bowler to come out from NZ who could make the ball rear like a cobra at frightening speed.

Most probably Bond is a bookie himself. The way rediff promotes Warne, Prabhakar, Azzu, etc, I really doubt he is clean cricketer.

LALIT MODI:CULPRIT
by rahul bajaaj on Oct 27, 2010 06:47 PM

He must be put behind bars for the only reason he used the might of BCCI to crush ICL. These idiots thought that they were greater than than anyone. Once, Lalit Modi is put behind bars, it will be good for cricket..

Adorable Cricketer Shane Bond
by Vineet Dewan on Oct 27, 2010 04:30 PM

Shane Bond.... You are one of the most adorable cricketer of present times. This is one quality that is very rare these days especially among fast bowlers.

What happened to you was not just unfortunate but also wrong.

I hope this cricket world will get to see you in action at highest level of cricket for many many more years to come.

Sad end of a great player!!!
by Indian on Oct 27, 2010 04:30 PM

It was so exciting to see him bowling to batsmen. I always ratted him ahead of all the bowlers at his time since he bowled against good teams like Australia successfully.
It would have been good for cricket world if he would have played at leats 10 years.

Anyway he took the decision at his best for his family and politics was always there as he is saying.

Indian Politricks League
by PETERSON on Oct 27, 2010 03:40 PM

I sincerely thought there will not be a political interence or politics being in the Cricket Boards of Australia,NZ,England. These boards are getting spoiled by the influence of Indian Politricks League(IPL) .
In India it is very much common to see the politics in every segment as well as all Games and their administration. It is sad to see the Politics being the dominant factors in Kiwi Cricket Nest.
