sachin should score 15500 test runs if he plays till the end of 2011/start of 2012 or even more runs than that with 54 100s at an 57-58 avg in 187-188 tests.
My list
1. S Gavaskar 2. V Sehwag 3. Sir Don 4. Sachin Tendulkar 5. V Richards 6. Sir G Sobbers 7. A Gilchrist 8. W Akram 9. S Warne 10 M Muralitharan 11. G McGrath
sachin sahcin..sachin..he is past his prime..lets all acknowledge that. how about encouraging some of the new talent that we have - the rainas and kohlis..they appear for a day after the match they win..and later its back to sachin..give the youngsters some hope..some encoragement.

first we are not encouraging Sachin Tendulker ... the great dont need encouragement now.. he is beyond that... second rainas kohlis are also got encouraged when ever they have done good jobs.. its just the master done it so often we have no choice to cheer and say it loud that ... this gigantic run machine is from our country and we are very proud and glad to watch him play..

Rainas? huh? Did you see him bat in South Africa serious honey????? Go get a life.....relax and take a chill pill...
By delivering this statement, Tendulkar has shown that not only is he a master batsman, he also knows something about the game. He knows that being compared to Bradman is gross injustice not just to Bradman, but to the person himself, for he would look paler and poorer in comparison, but his fans would just not relent. They are hell bent on proving Tendulkar better than Bradman, which they cannot do. I can particularly recall a Ten-fan who had commented on this site that had Bradman been playing today, he could not possibly have averaged more than 30! So much for Tendulkar and Bradman, but this world XI has obviously been selected by Australians, and that is why Murali doesn't find a place in the team. And anyone who thinks Wally Hammond was not the best batsman after Bradman doesn't know anything about the game.

Not many think that Wally Hammond was the second best batsman, Wisden begs to differ. Wisden has rated Sachin as the second best batsman after Bradman. Bradman included Wally Hammond as the 12th player, while Sachin was in the playing XI of Bradman's team. Sir Viv Richards, Richie Benaud, Steve Waugh all have placed him first or second after Bradman. And if you think Bradman, Wisden Viv Richards doesnt know anything about the game, I can only have a good laugh

And dear madam, who do you think you are , the most knowledgeable person in this whole universe ? How do you know Bradman was the best ? By the way which footage you saw and how did you come to that conclusion ? Yes he was a genious and he had great average to show but he belongs to a different era where English were the only opponents. We will never be able to know who was the best. Its sachin's humbleness that despite of achieving everything , he still respects other greats not only Bradman but all other batting greats. By your comments , it seems , you have some personal problem with Sachin, and by the way , can you please let us know who is your most talented cricketer of this modern era ?

Miss Aishwarya!!! Murali.. regardless of the fact that he holds the world record of highest # of wickets in test cricket- is an ace chucker - he does not bowl he "chucks or throws the ball"... ICC bent the rules to "accomodate Muralitharan" bent arm action in 1994 and thus arrived an ace chucker... He bowls with a bent under-arm action which was Illegal until 1993.... Go check cricketing rules and history... Forget about best bolwer in the world... To me he is even worse than a street bowler....

yes they were true chances are there he could not have crossed 30
as he did not play much of the spin and he used to play more straight bat and less cross bat and front foot
but sachin has to play on all surfaces
gr8 ppl are always modest as Saching says Bradman is great but in real both are great Sachin being little greater for us as we see him play
I have not seen or even read much about cricketers who played before 1970's. Considering those who have played since then, my World Team will be as under:
01. Sunil Gavaskar 02. Gordon Greenidge 03. Vivian Richards 04. David Gower 05. Clive Lloyd (Captain) 06. Ian Botham 07. Rodney Marsh (Wkt Keeper) 08. Malcom Marshall 09. Shane Warne 10. Andy Roberts 11. Michael Holding
Reserves:
12. Ricky Ponting 13. E A S Prasanna 14. Virender Sehwag 15. Richard Hadlee

David Gower, Clive Lloyd is this some joke? These players themselves would feel guilty to be included ahead of Sachin, Lara, Ponting, Dravid, Sobers, Imran Khan etc. Also Richard Hadleee was way better than Andy Roberts
SACHIN HAS NEVER PLAYED A KNOCK LIKE LAXMAN..HE JUST DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE THERE..HOW MANY TIMES U SEEN SACHIN TAKING INDIA TO VICTORY JUST LIKE LAXMAN..THIS LIST IS FAKE AND JUST A MARKETTING FOR SACHIN,WHO WILL JUST FAIL IN WORLD CUP..
THIS SACHIN COULD NOT EVEN PLAY AAQIB JAVED DURING HIS PEAK..LOL
