We are as corrupt as it can get. So why this cover up?
by blue leaf on Oct 24, 2010 06:08 PM  | Hide replies

If we do not want a society like the western countries who have disgusting racial mentality yet cover it up in Democracy, secularism and other nice words, we should accept that we are corrupt and should work correcting it. I am sure our players are not gods to be not corrupt. Expect few top players who get enough money like sachin tendulkar i have serious doubts on the rest of the team. That doesn't mean that the Racist western dogs are any better.

Nothing to do with racism or jealousy. This article is a cover-up job for Raina and by association for Dhobi and Pawar. This makes the reason for Dhobi's sudden rise in cricket obvoius, though he has nothing to show by way of individual performance- and has won all his victories by the brilliant performances of Tendulkar, Laxman and Dravid- which was seen even in the recent India-Aus test series. He's here to stay as long as Pawar rules the roost.

Very obvious
by India Shining on Oct 24, 2010 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

The reason for the meteoric rise of Raina though he is a useless player of even medium-pace is very obvious. Raina is Dhobi's link to bookies and Dhobi in turn is SharadPawar's link to bookies. Investigate Rhiti Sports Management and Mindscapes, the company which has emerged from nowhere and got both Dhobi and Yuvraj into contracts worth hundreds of crores. This is most definitely something to do with bookies. And this article is most definitely an attempt by the BCCI's PR agents at a cover-up job by calling a conspiracy an honest piece of journalism. If this is further investigated, it will lead to a chain of events that will implicate Dhobi and Pawar. This article sounds exactly like the kind of noises that the PCB was making after Asif, SalmanButt and Aamer were caught- western conspiracy, RAW conspiracy etc etc. Western journos unlike our Indian media boys and girls are not into paid news and lying.

The tone of this article itself is that of an opinion and not a report- but it's presentation is like as if it is a news report- which itself proves that it is a cover-up job by a PR agency for someone who has a lot to hide- and we know that Raina is Dhobi's blue-eyed boy. So the link is very obvious

Nothing to do with riches. The current crop of cricketers is into every possible kind of evil and corruption imaginable. And they care more for enjoymen than performance. Yuvraj Singh is a classic example. Watch the fun... Of course, you northies will say that your bihariHero Dhoni is doodh mein dhula hua and above reproach....

Mr. Ajay Kumar,

A very sinsible comment dear, you r right. Today sports is one of the best profession to make money and all the governing bodies behind Tennis, football, Basket Ball and Cricket are also making money.

Indian cricket and its reputation
by daniel thorat on Oct 24, 2010 05:28 PM  | Hide replies

Of course we have a good reputation both on and off field. But there have been instances when we saw on TV how some of our cricketers behaved, partied, socialized, drunk etc. and then lost the match miserably. Viewing the huge earnings they make for sheer enjoyment of playing, they must always be sober and decent because otherwise the vast BPL people of India can lose their respect for the cricketers, may be even start hating them.
