In fact Dhoni did complain while talking to press on one or two occasions about too much cricket being played and that they deserved some rest. So,why is he now changing the track? Dhoni has been continuously playing for nearly two years now and is also the WK plus captain. Considering that resting Dhoni for the NZ three Test series will not be a bad idea. Further, after the fluent knock by Pujara in his maiden test appearance it will be grossly unfair not to give him chance in the NZ series. So,may be either Laxman if he is not fully fit or Raina who has already secured his place in the Tests can be rested to make way for Pujara. Laxman and raina are more important for the SA series.
anyways he isn't playing great these days(we know he's married and needs time for ..... u know what!), like he used to play before. So its better if we rest all married players and take on board all single ones...
it is the performance that is important not the degree.after all what is the competence of a vast majority of ourdegree holders.just recently i had to do a resume for an MBA HOLDER....85/100 ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING.

Rohit is is squad. About Badri and Pujara they never had a chance to impress the selectors. About vijay he is a opening batsman. we have three openers in the squad sachin, sehwag and Gambhir.

Both Sehewag and Gambir are not 100% fit and that may aggravate during WC Stand by is Vijay I felt Bangalore 2nd innings was one day game for Pujara and Vijay

you are wrong...Ojha is more consistent than Ashwin..check your stats
He is in poor form for a long long time. He has lost ability to hit big shots except in IPL. If Sehwag made captain and he performs and Kohli takes keeper's slot, then it will become difficult for Dhoni to retain his place in the team, forget captaincy
How long can a team afford a non playing captain
It is better, if Dhoni gives up captaincy in one form of the game and concentrates on his batting and regains his old attacking touch. This scratchy slow strike play is not befitting someone who burst on the scene as a grand hitter.

dont talk about past contributions, please compare Ganguly with Dhoni. Dhoni has intensionally got Ganguly screwed. And now he's after Yuvraj. U r lauding Kohli as keeper. In 1998 when Dravid started acting as a keeper. India then too became no. 2 in ODIs. And Dhoni's keeping is nothing less than horrible. Saurav I agree with u.

@Saurav & Mukul.....no indian player can be as good a captain like MS Dhoni....just look at his records. People might say that it is becoz he has heavy weights in his team. But these heavy weights were also there when Mohd Azhar, Sachin, ganguly, dravid were captains. But none of them could ever propel India to the No. 1 status in Tests EVER!!! So forcing Dhoni to renounce captain is as ridiculous and outrageous as it can get.

Nowdays ppl r jealous of Dhoni's all acheivements..ppl should remember under his captaincy India won 1st twenty20 W.C....Won ODI series in Australia after long decade...test and ODI series win in NZ....Last 2yrs under his captaincy India lost any tests series and took team India No1 rank in Tests...His captaincy records in tests like this... 18 played, 12 wins, 4 draws and 2 loses... Won Asia cup after long 15yrs..
Beating Aus at home by 2-0..all is happening under his captaincy.. so if ppl r still doubt about his captaincy that makes ppl are jealous of his sucess.. yeah its true that he is not his best of form this days but about his captaincy if any one doubting i guess ppl r talking too much about this issue...

it is stupid on the part of BCCI. These people (players) are of international standards. They should be playing in any condition and anywhere. These fellows are pampered a lot. Everyone knows what he has done on his marriage. Its a personal matter but if you r spending more than half of ur time with the team backing u up (the throne he's enjoying) then he also must have shown this much of regard. He thinks its only him who's running the show. He doesn't needs to be IIM but being a captain he must need to manage his resources well not only on ground.If he neither perform nor he can manage good relations among the team, he's good for nothing else we'll be soon out of the biggest event as u hav seen couple of times in T20 WC. This egoistic creature needs to be thrown out soon.
