Day-Night match..........

D/N matches in India batting first is always a good choice but Aus batting line up has depth. Ausiees bowling looks very weak. Chasing will not be a bad option with 7 batsman. At day time our spinners can get some turn.

Aussie bowling power is over
by Vaidhy Narayanan on Oct 20, 2010 08:05 AM

Guys,

Aussies have enjoyed great bowling strength over the past 15 years (except last 2-3 years). In Test cricket one rarely wins by just making runs. Team needs to take 20 wickets to win a game. Back in 97 in a match in colombo SL made 952 runs (the highest score) against India's 537 in an inning, the game was just drawn!
Aussie lost the fire power in bowling and just can't repeat their success. Its natural.

Warne and Mcgraw are irreplaceable for any team. Back in 2004 India almost beat Aussies in their own soil when these 2 giants were absent (thats not only reason though). India couldn't win series cuz of their own bowling fire and flat nature of pitches that summer down under. I remember india making 700 runs in Sydney match.

Why is Indians doing well in Crunch
by Crick fan on Oct 20, 2010 07:38 AM

The Aussies would sledge, distract, and even abuse to upset opposition in crunch situation. But in the past they have got back what they tried giving to Indians and when this trick is taken off, they always come second.
Kudo's to VVS he never bother's if anyone from opposition yells or distracts him. People like Harbajan and Gambhir come back hard if sledged at. Dare not try on Sachin, he falttens opposition if sledged at. The choces are limited against the Inidan team, so Aussie's are trailing. Any other team they would still go the same old way.

India doing better than Australia in crunch situations: Tait

For me this is the most striking feature which has changed for Aussies.

Aussies over the part decades until last 3-4 years...had always prevailed in crunch situations. Be it tests..odis...worldcups etc
