Do u believe that kochi or kerala is not a part of india?
by Rajan S on Oct 17, 2010 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

Its not that kochi doesn't have a stadium. We have a stadium which has more capacity than the one in ahmedabad. The kca doesn't own a stadium here but it will be ready in two years. But don't get overjoyed by that fact since the kerala govt has given the permission to play all the ipl matches in the current stadium, until the new one is ready.
Nobody thought that kochi will win the bid for the ipl team and when it eventually did, it irked many industrial as well as cricket bosses out there. Lalit modi was acting as somebody from the god's era when speaking against the kochi team. But later it was found that he is one of the biggest, if not the biggest corrupted person in indian cricket. He had personal interests in jaipur and punjab franchises. And seeing the fate of rajasthan royals and kings eleven punjab, nobody has any right to speak against the kochi team. Even all the people out here in kochi knew, that though we have won the bid for an ipl team, there are still people out there who wants to put mud on their dreams. At least all indians who are against the huge amount of corruption involved in the ipl, can thank kochi, bcoz its inclusion saw, many scams being unearthed now. The so called king pin mr lalit modi has fled the nation now in fear of action from his one time friends and allies and also the govt.
We wouldn't have utter a single word, had ahmedabad or nagpur won the bid, so it should be vice versa too. We all belong to india and we all have equal rights her

Thanks mate. Am little bit relieved to see at least one person supporting the view.
I hope all citizens in this country will want themselves to be identified as indians only and not as marathis, punjabis, keralites etc etc.

Kochi IPL
by yogesh thirukonda on Oct 16, 2010 07:44 PM  | Hide replies

Rediff is a Mullu portal. Kochi oviously does not have the capability of owning a IPL team. The news is funny- Mr Mathews in the last para says- we are ready with stadiums and only back log is lights and will be finished in 2 years?. What Supply and Fixing of light is 2 years?. Do even try to dream of having an IPL team. It should have idealy been a Ahmedabad Team. It think things are moving that way.

you have no right to comment in the same country that did the CWG mockery. If Delhi can hold CWG, Kochin can have 5 IPL teams.

Yes exactly. We wouldn't have utter a single word, had ahmedabad or nagpur won the bid, so it should be vice versa too.
I believe all indians would have celebrated in unison, had pt usha won that elusive bronze medal in the 1984 los angeles olympics. If u do, then that means you accept that kerala is also a part of india. So please stop unleashing your fury on us until you kick us out from this nation. And we expect you to stand with us in the good as well as badtimes, the same way we will do for you. Its really sad that i have to speak on regionalism here. But the comments being posted here, day in and day out on all the topics, has forced me to be so emotional and passionate about kerala.
