Aussies have still 3 wckts to go. It depends upon how long India will take to make them out. Or maybe ponting must have some game plan. May ask the batmen to bat till the target is fixed a little over 200 runs, to ensure, that if india bats well, they wont end the day as loser. Dhoni as a captain has not prooved so far in this series. So raina. Dravid the wall is there. Lets be optimistic. Sachin, dravid, sehwag, vijay, raina, dhoni all can score 50 each. If all these batsman think selfish , thinking about themselves, to hit half centuries, india will win.
if we go by logic that guys who scored in first innings need not feel compelled to contribute anymore then murali and sachin are as good as absent ? ... thats disastrous and we can lose the test.
agreed that they played a long innings so they might be drained and may have low reflexes ...but in cricketing sense its blasphemous to quote such excuses.....
still ... its time rest of the guys keep their heads and put up a good show .... especially dhoni ... i don't see a difference between him and yuvraj

we will surely miss laxman... he is the guy who really enjoys pressure ...he proved it more than once and all over the world not just on indian pitches....
i don't understand why this chickennn dhoni cannot concentrate or rally the tailenders.... his non performance puts lot of pressure on openers

Wanderlust
This one was more logical... :)
Instead of the first attempt where you tried the extreme views through two different IDs - just that you forgot to "switch" when replying to your own message... :)
Re: Re: another thing

as ur name suggests u r a doubtful character who switches IDs ... pseudo nevertheless .... i come in one id and bang,on with one... stop acting like a puppy....
i am always logical unlike puppy sachin fans who were reporting all my posts as abuse the other day ... LOL

Okie... whatever you say. If you wanna continue using the same ID to reply to yourself and keep a conversation going, then please go for it... :) Nice meeting you Wanderlust / Wanderlust... :)
according to sachin fans now that he already made double century in the first innings he is not responsible for second innings anymore....
agreed that rest of the batsmen should also chip in ...but what is this stupid logic that guys who score in first innings have no responsibility at the crucial stage of the match ?
Re: alrite
by arvin g on Oct 13, 2010 07:24 AM
same stupid logic which wants sachin to bail india out everytime... what other 10 great players are doing in the team if sachin is only responsible for everything...
Re: alrite
by Wanderlust on Oct 13, 2010 05:26 AM
sachin had done enough already for india and for cricket .... nobody is expecting anything more ....
but its interesting to see what the captain is going to do.... he has been dismal and pathetic thing is that he is making no efforts to fight back...he lost it

Wanderslut
I usually do that by providing a balanced view in my messages. Not by providing one extreme view in one message and then replying to my own message with another extreme view... ;-)

u should participate in spot ur brain contest.... cric is not the game for u ...cric needs balanced views
Till yesterday morning I thought there were only 2 possible outcome 1. India Wins 2. Draw
Thanks to Ricky, he ensured third outcome is possible and that is 'Australia Wins'. With the pitch becoming tough to play, India can be wrapped up in 200. It is exactly reversing the 1st game
Re: Well done Ponting!!!! - Really exciting match
by Tarun Arora on Oct 13, 2010 06:29 AM
It wasn't Ricky who ensured this, it was the stpuid manner in which Indians batted after Sachin got out which ensure that all three outcomes are possible again!
Notwithstanding Ishant Sharma's valiant effort in the First Test, the Indian tail generally displays lack of intention and common sense. Harbhajan, when interviewed before the final innings in Mohali, boasted that India had enough batsmen to overtake the 216 needed to win . He listed himself as one of the "batsmen"! His contribution in the series has been 6 in 3 completed innings! Zaheer occasionally uses his head while batting. Most of the time these days he feels bowling is his main job and leaves the batting to others. Sreesanth has never paid attention to batting and Ojha is an unknown quantity. With Dhoni not firing India has a long tail. When one sees guys like Johnson & Hilfenhouse adding a sting to the tail it hurts that our tailenders do not put in the necessary effort.Perhaps dropping Harbhajan for a Test or two against NZ may give him time to reflect on his contribution to the team. He may have taken a few wickets in the series but he is a pale shadow of the bowler he was once. The fielding efforts of Zaheer and him are comical. When will some of our ego filled regulars swallow their pride and work at improving their all round skills? Both Harbhajan and Zaheer have the capability of developing into useful lower order batsmen.Harbhajan has 5 fiftees to prove the point. But is he interested enough?

@surya- Dude why the hell only Sachin or Sehwag or Laxman play. Other 8 players can't hold the bat and score runs? Are they impotent rascals? If needed let the likes of Dhoni play a captain's knock like ponting.. If they can't- I can simply tell onething we dont deserve to win this match... Remember - Cricket is always a team game. The Indian fans are useless bunch of morons who idolise and criticse the "so called heros" or gods... they are also human beings.. Remember.
Without laxman and a relatively new middle order, india have a tough task ahead tomorrow. Sehwag's start will be crucial to release the pressure. Sachin, i hope this time, he wil be there when the winning runs are scored. But first and formost though, we have to bowl out the tail ender quickly, which india often fails to do Let's hope that our target won't exceed 230

What about other 10 chickens? they are already fizzled out and gone into the chef's hand for being cooked as Tandoori Chicken? Huh? U Sanman mornon- Cricket is a team game.. let the entire team contribute.. if they did let them win.. else not they dont deserve to win.
