I remember a time in test cricket when you could switch on the tv at any time during the Indian batting and irrespective of how many batsmen were in the pavilion Dravid would still be there in the middle holding one side up. This was as regular as the sun rising and setting.Of late i switch on the television and even if India are 2 down you can be rest assured that it is Dravid dismissed. He is not getting any younger at 37 but this is Rahul Dravid, probably the most head-strong player India has ever produced.I remember that after Rahul was removed from the Indian ODI squad way back for being slow he goes to NZ and scores a 120 odd where everyone else failed.I really hate to se his averages fall by the minutes. I think it is time for Rahul to quit T20 and concentrate on Test Cricket for a season or two.

ya,Badri or Vijay is the roght choice since raina & yuvi susceptible against short balls. Even A.Mukund & D. Karthik is better players of new ball than other bench players in India.

As i suggested yesterday, AUS scored 400 plus, i knew it was on the cards. I also predicted better to go with Raina one down than dravid, as he is completely out of form. It rained this evening almost 40mins here in bangalore, indian middle order is viable if sachin gets out 2mrw early, interesting to see how the ball swings in the first 1 hour of play

clarke should bowl around the wicket with more flight and varied pace to get sachin like ashley giles/vettori bowled him in many instances.

who says Laxman is unsung Hero it is your misinterpretation and lack of awareness , and who says Sachin is Over Sung Hero , he is not , Sachin deserves that , all cricket legends keep him in high steam , but unfortunately many young Indians are fool and take it as a fashion to criticize Sachin and his bull work , and i know such people know nothing about cricket .

Rahul Dravid must take help of his wife Vijeta to overcomeproblem
by pravin sarode on Oct 10, 2010 10:18 PM  | Hide replies

In the second test of a three match test series against Australia at Kolkata in 2001, Dravid joined hands with VVS Laxman to produce one of the greatest comeback victories in the history of the game. Following on, the pair put on 376 runs for the fifth wicket in the second innings of the match. Dravid scored 180 while Laxman made 281.[29] Though Dravid ended up second-best, it remains one of his greatest performances till date. Later that year in Port Elizabeth against South Africa, he made a crucial match-saving 87 runs in the second innings to deny South Africa the win.[30]
2002 was the year, when Dravid started to emerge out of Tendulkar's shadow and established himself as India's premier Test batsman. In the month of April, at Georgetown, West Indies in first test match of the series, he scored an unbeaten 144 [31] in the first innings after being hit by a Mervyn Dillon delivery. Later that year, he raked up four consecutive centuries against England(3) and West Indies(1). In August 2002, against England at Headingley Stadium, Leeds in the third test match of the series, he scored a 148 in the first innings on a seamer-friendly to set up a famous Indian win.[32] He won the man of the match award for this performance. Dravid's astonishing aggregate of 602 runs in the four match test series against England also fetched him the man of the series award.
In 2003-2004 season, Dravid scored three double centuries, one each against New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan.

Dravid should read this para & retire from international cricket, T-20 has put big hole in his WALL, very difficult to repair unless he plays against bangladesh/zimbabwe.

rahul dravid has been agreat servant for indian cricket.don't judge him by one or two bad perfomances,in the first inning of the mohali test he scored 77 and was looking in great touch.just a lapse in concentration and he was caught behind by keeper.Dravid has developed a minor flow poking into the deliveries outside off stump by the left arm pacers of australia{dougy bollinger, mitchell johnson}.he is succuming to it often these days.i think he should not force the issue and try to play fast.He shouild just play his normal game and don't fell into the trap of deliveries outside offstump.he is a pivotal cog in India"s test line up and with newzealand and southafrica series coming up he should come back in form quickly as everytime sachin ,sehwag, laxman cant rescue indian batting and in form rahul dravid is very difficult to be dismissed.please see the records of rahul dravid they speak for themselves 11,581 runs in test matches and 10,375{app}runs in one day and the record of the most no of catches by a fielder in history of cricket.he himslf will be very disappointed by the string of low scores in recent past.but now the time has come to give a strong reply to his critics with his bat. Please be patient and support him to get back in form.

....in a game played by some 9 nations. We have done so well in CWG 2010 in the comity of 71 nations. We have got 3 medals in Beijing 2008 Olympics in comity of some 150 nations. Abhinav Bindra made Indian national anthem sound at the Olympics 2008 in front of 150 nations. We have real heroes and real victories. We dont need fake heroes and fake statistics in a 9-nation game anymore to feel good.

It is not right to run down cricket and Sachin, in your attempt to highlight other sports. If you have an aversion to cricket, just stay away from it. Simple.
