Retirement of saurav ganguly from international cricket, is one of the most disappointing losses for indian cricket. The passion and the attitude he brought to the game was beyond description. He was the one who changed the face of indian cricket and brought professionalism to our team. We salute you dada and u will always remain as one of our all time heroes
"The Indian cricket team is one of the biggest advertisements of Test cricket or any form of cricket at the present moment". And Dada, we owe a lot to you for making Indian team a worthy one! India's ressurection from match fixing shambles started when you took over. Dravid nurtured it, Kumble enhanced it, and finally Dhoni is enjoying it! We wont forget you Dada, you were simply superb, made this team feel that they are competitors. Bajji, Zaheer, Viru, Yuvi, Raina, all had disclosed that they were inspired by him at various points of their careers.
I really dont understand a word " When Most Needed". Do u all mean to say in first inning it was not needed to bat with maturity to gain lead rather than giving away lead? During entire partnership with Ishant, they both faced abt 135 deliveries out of which Ishant faced 92. Why? Ishant should have been covered by VVS. It was a chance that LAxman took paid off by Ishant and everybody is going gaga over VVS

When most needed simple means that when others fail, he raised himself to the occassion. When all hits a 100, it may not be "when most needed" because score is coming even otherwise! In that sense, Laxman's 73 was indeed a "when most needed"!

beta, captaincy matters! No normal captain would've brought back Ishant for a spell in the next 3 tests seeing his performance in the 1st innings and earlier part of the 2nd innings. But Dhoni brought him and result was there for you to see. 3, quick, important wickets! When you blame when India lose, laud him when we win

Dont you blame the captain when the team is not performing? So converse is also true. See Ponting. Leading Australia was easy for Taylor and Waugh as they had a very good team. Not anymore, as Ponting finds it out.

No doubt, he is a champ in the truest sense, a man who gets runs when India needs them most. A man for crisis, he has become one of cricket's great miracle men who can win matches from nowhere. Bravo, VVS....!!
WHY ONLY LAXMAN???? WHY NOT ISHANT???? IF ISHANT WAS OUT, THEN THIS WHOLE ARTICLES WOULD'VE ENDED AND STARTED BARKING AGAINST THIS VVS AND WHOLE TEAM.....THIS IS MEDIA NOW!!!! PATHETIC

Completely agree, we are only concentrating on how well VVS & Ishant batted & saved the day but in al this euphoria we are forgetting that our batsmen did play awfully. The efforts of VVS, Ishant, Zaheer & Ojha are commendable but we are going overboard with it. We need to concentrate on why we needed to get to the last wicket to win the match.
