Completely agree, we are only concentrating on how well VVS & Ishant batted & saved the day but in al this euphoria we are forgetting that our batsmen did play awfully. The efforts of VVS, Ishant, Zaheer & Ojha are commendable but we are going overboard with it. We need to concentrate on why we needed to get to the last wicket to win the match.

Yes i agre with you. I really dont understand a word " When Most Needed". Do u all mean to say in first inning it was not needed to bat with maturity to gain lead rather than giving away lead? During entire partnership with Ishant, they both faced abt 135 deliveries out of which Ishant faced 92. Why? Ishant should have been covered by VVS. It was a chance that LAxman took paid off by Ishant and everybody is going gaga over VVS

Reverse Order
by Crick fan on Oct 06, 2010 01:44 PM

It was Aussies who were known to score runs with tail enders and win or save matches. Steve Waugh, Mical Beven and Gilcrist were know to make runs with tail enders.
This job done by Ishant and Laxman is reversing the trends and its Aussies. Well done Laxman and well done Team India

I Congrating the Laxman batting since My Heart beat was very nervous once Ishant Sharma was out and I am very upset whether we will win or not surprisingly it was a amazing win thanks to laxman, sachin, and raina but still Dhoni was not performing in test matches as a captain he is not playing well in test and he has not good records but ganguly has good in one day and as well in test

Dhoni is selfish player bcos if u see is record as captain, when situation demands he will send new players ahead of him to face the brunt. He's aggressive bating curbed so that he will remain notout in one day matches to increase his batting averages & hence he will remain no1 player in icc ranking. He doesn't like senior players success

Kapil Dev & Ravi Shastri in the list - Good Joke. How can anybody forget how he carried on in test cricket (the last 2 seasons of his career), just to become world's highest wicket taker, though he was past his prime? How can anybody forget Ravi Shastri played very slow innings in the middle, when many situations called for scoring fast runs?

Wow, You hit on the right spot.
Great observation.
Now even if India wins with straight bat, people doubt their credibility.
No surprising, over exposure of CRICKET in Media has drawn many money eyed people for their vested interest in this business. It is loosing shine and sheen because of tainted people involved and engaged in Cricket Business. Now noone seems to be interested in Cricket except think head people or swindlers or bookies.
