I am a great fan of sachin, i know he has contributed heavily to indian cricket but why the hell he does not finish the matches for india and contribute to its victory, say today, had Ishant failed where would india be
I guess he can play great only when his/teams back is not pinned to the wall Any thoughts

Arul, Sachin do finsh games and more then anyone in Indian team. If you wants to know please go back and see Sharjah, One day series victory in Aus where he scroed 98 made India come into the final and then in 2 finals 2 100s and India won the series... He do finish games for India... but he alone can not win all the games for India... all the thakele guys should have to do something... at the age of 37 he is making 98 for first inning and creating chances of a fight in second inning otherwise India would have been collapsed under 300.

sarang awasarkar, dont you feel ashamed for lying so blatantly. sachin does finish games sarang, but of the easy variety. bowlers bundle out opposition teams with score 180/200/220/240 then sachin comes and scores hundreds. like eating flesh out of a carcass. that's all he can do. somebody already kill some animal and sachin comes to eat the flesh of the dead animal. and eveybody sees him eating flesh and thinks that he did the killing.
give sachin scores like 280/300/320/340 to chase and he struggles like a fish out of water. this overhyped person never won anything that was difficult to achieve. i wonder which score of 98 you are saying in one day series in australia to take india into the final. that is all a lie. i wonder where you got that figure of 98?
indeed he had failed miserably in the league matches and scored only about 190 runs in 8 innings at the average of around 23 runs. his form was in fact a worrying factor when we entered the best of 3 finals. the players responsible for taking india to that best of 3 finals in australia were dhoni, gambhir, rohit sharma and our unsung, uncredited, underrated, much abused bowlers who also played brilliantly in the finals and won that series for us.

sarang, also sachin did not score 2 centuries in the 2 finals. that is a lie/canard that too many people are spreading on this forum. he hit century in the first final and that was again after our bowlers had restricted aus to 238 runs. as i said above the animal was killed and sachin just came to eat the flesh of dead animal/corpse and many people thought sachin had killed it and it was his prize. sachin just took advantage of the winning position the bowlers had bowled us into and scored century. he just took advantage of the fact that being a opener he got first crack at that modest total.there also he had a good partnership for the 1st wicket with uthappa and rohit sharma with 66 runs also played very good. in the second final too india did not put up a very big for australia to chase. sachin incidentally did not score a hundred in this 2nd final. yuvraj and dhoni scored quick 30s and made useful contributions. final it was our new look bowling attack which restricted aus to under the winning target and praveen kumar taking 4 wickets was fittingly named MOM.
yes he alone cannot win all the games. that is the plain truth. but people like you spread this myth that he does exactly that.
you say he alone cannot win all the games for india? indeed he can't. in fact he alone cannot win a SINGLE game for india. always it is a team effort which wins the game of cricket. but blind sachin fanatics like you take the credit of other performances and give it to sachin.

Today is another day in which, sachin has again proved he cannot perform in crunch matches. Atleast for today, can these mad sachin fans take a break from hurling such nonsense

Rajan you are a non-sense. Are you trying to suggest other gazillion number of matches which sachin scored were not crunch matches? Or else you tell me which one is a crunch match and he will score. Stop talking non-sense and go grab a crunch... good thing I am not getting any real words now.

contrasting view is, why should we be pinned to walls in any situation? Sachin does not allow India to get pinned. But when it arrives once in a while, he makes some impact. For that matter who stood and got counted everytime it mattered? Laxman three victories I can remember. Steve "Moron" waugh one test that I remember in west Indies. Sachin, did finish few matches but when he finishes them, like against England a century, there is just no need to get pinned to wall.

I agree with anil.. When sachin plays, we always win comfortably. I dont want to take away any credit from VVS but he Sachin's 98 in 1st innings are also imp as VVS 73* in second innings. But some people are just waiting for sachin to fail so they can critisize. Question here is are they eligible to critisize someone like Sachin tendulkar? or even for that matter anyone who has represented INDIA. Were they even shortlisted for selection of district level team??

if some time in future you feel like you want to criticise sehwag, gambhir, dravid, laxman, raina, murali vijay, dinesh karthick, rohit sharma, kohli, yuvraj, dhoni, ishant, sreesanth, zaheer, harbhajan, mishra, ozha, praveen kumar, nehra and others just ask this question to yourself 'are you really eligible to criticise these players?'
