Ian Gould
by max skinner on Oct 05, 2010 11:29 PM  | Hide replies

Umpire Ian Gould would now have to play a crucial role for Australia, give at least 5 Indian top order batsmen out when they are not if Australia are to win the next one.

Umpire Ian Gould did a valiant job today for Australia by declaring Ishant Sharma out lbw on a delivery going down leg side and missing all stumps but his effort came in a bit late.

Hopefully for Aussies, Ian would practise more and try to declare top order Indian batsmen out on every appeal if Aus wants to level series.

So watch out.

Also watch out for Umpire Billy Bowden who will ensure Australian batsmen are given out and Indians are reprieved as he did to Pragyan Ojha... ;-)

Keep adding the Debits and Credits and it all adds up over a long period of time.... they are simple human errors in judgment...

India was also missing Gavaskar and Kapil Dev.

What are you trying to say by pulling retired players?

Talk about current players and teams.

If Aus was playing without Gilli, Haydos and warne, they were not playing with eight players.

I think more relavant things to discuss are the umpiring decisions, the way Sachin/Sehwag got out in second innings and the way Raina is giving chances regularly

Common ! This is all loosers talk. How dou you know that India will loose without these three u mentioned. Certainly in ODI they are playing without Dravid and VVS and still in 2nd place. In the contemporary indian cricket there are many youngsters who can replace Dravid and Lax and still win. So if you loose don't finger and whine. You are saying with out Gilli, Hayde, Warne....don't you see the inrony there (Of course implies with out them Aus can't win...fighting doesn't matter, it's win that counts. Aus is in ICC 4th rank and not even close to India in number of points). You are saying the same reason against what you are with Aus.

HEy are you a BJP supporter?Because like the BJP "chaddi" party even you are in the retirement era. Hayden,Warne,Mcgrath have retired and many of them were shown the door!after the ashes loss. And do you even remember how Warne was thrashed around in India and how even with Mcgrath,Warne,Gillispie Hayden Gilchrist and the rest the aussies were defeated by this team. The aussies have met their match. The current IND team depite bad decisions went on to win and this is the true fighting spirit not what the aussies are showing now by talking about reitred players 3-4years after their retirement. That is looser spirit!!Just like you LOOSER

India have always dominated Australia!
by sandeep kumar on Oct 05, 2010 08:52 PM  | Hide replies

There was a lot of talk before(as always) by them about targetting our batsmen with short pitched bowling, while forgetting that our guys have 50 plus averages both home and abroad. Since 2001 India have always had the better of Aus(who created records thank to playing mainly eng, windies and nz), and whenever they lost it was due to dubious circumstances.Proof? Nagpur in 2004(victim of board politics), sydney 2008(needs no reminding) nad WC final(bowlers had an off day). We have series wins in 2001,2008, drawn series in 2004 etc. Hauritz wont be able to get into a ranji team, and while bollinger and johnsona re good competitors, can they show the skill that Zak showed in reverse swing?? Aus is a team in decline and their supporters better accept that they belong to no4 or 5, and not No1, which India has had since a year almost.

:) A team comprising of below Ranji level players brought our MIGHTY Indian team on its knees which needed a miraculous rescue mission from an injured batsman and a resolute tail ender? :)

I liked the joke... :)
So in your opinion we should be sending our Ranji team instead of this "can barely beat a Number 4 or 5 team" that everyone seems to be currently boasting about... eh? :)

so according to you, the substandard aussie bowlers almost came within a wicket off a win and still are on a decline and deserve 5th ranking as opposed to india ?

Zaheer Khan did reverse swing , hmmm in 1 match so far. I don't get you guys. You people always jump the gun. then you get shot in the face and then you find someone else to blame for you getting shot.

bollinger and johnson are good competitors ? yeah sure

wonder where that leaves harbhajan/ ojha/ ishant/ sreeshanth/ ( am tempted to add zaheer to this list) ?

Bollinger and johnson are frankly much superior bowlers. we would be an excellent team if we get the club level fast bowlers from australia. Thats how bad our bowling team is
