When Indians play the Aussies
by Harsha Bhogle on Oct 05, 2010 07:46 AM

It does not matter whether Aussies come to India or India goes to Australia, it always looks like India is going to lose!

Not sure I agree with the optimism of Hilfenhaus

All it takes is for Sachin to send the ball to the boundary a few times in between milking these guys for ones and twos.

I dont have much trust in Dhoni as a batsman, nowadays. If anyone does it for me, it is Lakshman joining Sachin and seeing off the first 20 to 40 minutes. That will seal the victory for me. Aussies will have very slim chance - if Lakshman can bat atleast 60% of his abilities.

The pitch isnt crumbling. It just has some bounce. Watering it will bring that down.

what is happening to Dravid's deffense technique?

Same way in both innings. Quite a flaw - sticking that blade out in the trejectory of the ball.

Dravid is finished. He should be dropped by selectors. He is too old for test cricket.

Very unfair decision
by Gopi on Oct 04, 2010 08:35 PM  | Hide replies

Gambhir's out was unacceptable. Clearly bat and pad. How can an umpire miss to hear or see it? He should be taken to task. It would have been a different story if he was not given out. Of course, Sehwag's out is unpardonable.

It's unfair for Gambhir but even australians got 2 wrong decisions (M.Hussy & M,North) so it evens out. Atleast now the Indians agree for review system for future tests. So Indians are to be blamed by not favouring the reviews.

Gopi:

Umpires can miss to hear or see it just as they miss or hear when other team's players are given wrongly out....
Agreed?
