I just checked the statistics of performance of fast bowlers this season in Ranji trophy Super league so far.

And I find Sudeep has taken most wickets 18 at a an economy rate of 3.21.best in an innings 6/42.

The most consistent and economic bowler is DS Goswami(Dhiraj Goswami). He has picked up 11 wickets at an economy rate of 2.8 with best bowling figure of 5/53.Goswami is also an allrounder, not just bowler.

If you want to reduce his pace send him to

If you want to reduce his pace send him to MRF cricket Academy which is an aussie conspiracy to curb the speedstar from the root in India;
All those who came Ishant, Munaf were bowling above 145 kmph and they went to MRF and now they are down to 130...

Along the way they also had a coach called Venkatesh Prasad. Remember he was our fastest spinner. India pioneered the art of opening the attack with spin during lanky Venky's era.

All from U.P

India's so called fast bowlers are mostly from U.P..praveen,RP,sudeep tyagi are all frm U.P..lots of other promising batsman are from there.. tough living conditions, lack of infrastructure motivates these guys to work even harder and get a seat in indian team. Surprsingly they don't have bigshot connections also..needs to be appreciated..

All useless bowler from UP.
RP singh, tyagi, praveen etc.
all are given too many cahnces just beacuse of friendship with captain fool dhoni & regional politics,
So amit don't projest wrong thing.
Fact is mumbai is last year ranji champ but still no one from mumbai in indian team except sachin. Its all beacuse of regional politics of dhoni.
Now days average player from UP & north gets too many chances without any noticable performance- courtsey politics of dhoni while talented player from mumbai & south are ignored.
Except kapil all talented bowelrs like kumble, praasd, srinath, sreeshant, balazi , zaheer etc had come from south or from mumbai only

I don't think so ...Ones the player comes to Rajni lavel no question of Infrastructure or anything else .....players goes on top on their potential.. Only Raina is promising player with in current situation from UP .. No big history for the game ... The grate players are comming from Mumbai, Delhi & Banglore only . Even i don't know what is the place of Dhoni in Test team ????

surprising not to see these players
by Sathya on Nov 30, 2010 01:34 PM  | Hide replies

It is really surprising not to see likes of Vinay Kumar, Abhimanyi Mithun and Manish Pandey getting place in Indian Squad, even after performing exceedingly well in Ranji matches in current and last season.

Selectors have to take notice and include them in National Team.

This shows how our national cricket is and how the future cricketers are. He played international matches with economy rate of 6 and avg is below par. Even vinay kumar. So if our youngsters cannot play them then how can they face best bowlers like steyn lee ??
