Looks like Australia has Ranji standard bowlers. We should have a match between this team and Tendulkar's Mumbai. I'm sure Tendulkar alone should be enough to cream them.

One innings and out come the "experts" on the forum...
So you mean to tell us that the English batsmen are worse than Mumbai's Ranji batsmen and hence capitulated for a paltry 260 in the first innings against a Ranji standard bowling attack?
if same thing happend in india people will comment as of that pitches are dead and dosile not good advertisement for test cricket .what is this pitch is called now boycott or chappel sir can you discribe this pitch .is there is any change to ahmedabad hyderabad pitch.then you you are barking like dogs.now australian pitches are also same.now hide in the rat holes

Should be an interesting series, both teams look equally strong and have the spirit to fight till the last. I have a feeling that England have an edge in winning the series.

Australian board should be stoned for making a dead wicket in such an important series. It looks as if they r now scared of English bowling & r heading for a big defeat in this series?

Agarwal:
Instead of stoning the board; please congratulate the English batsmen's grit who woke from the first innings dead...
Even Australia's 481 wasn't a HUGE total by any standards... Just because one team scores runs doesn't mean the pitch was dead.... Just because India scored 566/8 in Nagpur makes that pitch DEAD?

The aussies don't have mcgrath and warne to win matches and their bowling lacks sting. Neither do the english have any strength in their bowling. Wonder what the series result would be.

Nerves settled, hopefully they will beat the australians black and blue in the coming tests...
Ashes will be England's this time round, and that will mark the end of the career of the arrogant Ponting.

But Ashes is supposed to be the most important series for Australia and England, how can Australia afford not to play their "main bowlers" ?
By the way, one of your "main bowlers" Ryan Harris has till date played just 2 tests for Australia.
