World Cup and Resting Players
by KARTHIK VENKAT on Nov 28, 2010 09:59 PM

Like to know onething. why selectors are resting seniors when wc is nearing. its not time to put test matches in place and wat we need to concentrate in one day. last opportunity for indian team to play in home before wc. i think the board/players looking on test match ranking and they dont want to lose this...who will take a call?

Nice picture of Nehra and Murali vijay celebrating
by Harsha Bhogle on Nov 28, 2010 09:57 PM  | Hide replies

Nehra is from Delhi and Vijay from Tamil Nadu. Now I hope people understand that we are not North Indians or South Indians but one country called India.

You are talking as if north india and south india are Pakistan and India that have just re-united. In case you forgot players from north south east and west have been in the cricket team for a long long time...Prasanna, Venkat, Bedi and Chandra were teh spin quartet that bowled together when you were not even in liquid form.

no one else would have noticed their regional difference or even thought about their region on look at that picture.
I believe, the first who needs the advise you gave is yourself.

Cricket is over-rated. Concentrate on Olympic sports.
by Vishnu Sharma on Nov 28, 2010 09:33 PM

It is important that our nation creates a niche in that area.

Nothing less tha Boots to you both will wokr. YOu both should be hammed with dirty boots in public....Idiotic....
Why don;t you ask non working aged politicians across teh coutry to retire than asking a master to hang up his boots when he is in prime orm...He will go when its time....No need to tel him.....

selection of Saha as wicket keeper is absolutely wrong
by sridhar ranganathan on Nov 28, 2010 09:20 PM  | Hide replies

I am really surprised why Saha was chosen when we have dinesh karthick who is more experienced and a very good batsman and he was the man of match when we beat Sri Lanka. I think the selectors are back with quota system as there are players from tamil nadu. Selection should be beyond quota system and based solely on merit even if all the majority of players are from same team or zone. I still feel Irfan's exclusion is baffling. I hope the selectors wake up and select the right team without any regional bias

players are selected based on their recent performances....check it yourself for both the players...quota system/regionalism has nothing to do with it.one thing i have noticed that you south indian hypocrits are very very inclined to this and at the same time pathetically sensitive to this issue ...stop this double standardism or else get out of this country....
