So he meant that all the hundred he scored last time were fluks.. OR he means to say that the bowlers were substandard that anyone can score hundreds.. I am confused.. This statement from someone who has played for almost 15 years..

rahul dravid and sachin tedulkar i do not know what is wrong but have never gave india any big partnership sachin was batting on 194 in a test match which ended draw but draw id as captain declared indian innings not allowing sachin to play one over more to get 200 score

Pravin,

Interesting observation about the partnerships between Sachin and Dravid, i'm not too certain about Test cricket but in ODI i beleive they had share of their good parterships.
Dravid and Sachin are India's best batting champions in last 2 decades (add Laxman and Sourav to make it fearsome foursome)

For your info India won the match
Sachin got enough time , he batted almost 2 days and was playing at snail's pace as he approached 200
Dravid and sachin have had many partnerships

Think before writing

As a matter of fact, Dravid and Sachin share the record for maximum number of 100 run partnerships in test cricket

India won that match because Rahul Dravid declared at the right time. Go and check the record books.

So Tendulkar should have been allowed to score Double century.Whether India win or loss the test.Yours is ugly comment, as a skipper he has to see the situation of the match.A captain can not wait for any bodies century. What are you writing please write sensibly.

What is in our hands is, we can make efforts to strengthen the batting of middle to tail end. That would fetch remarkable results .. like Bhajji. So another 1 or 2 should accompany bhajji at the tail end.

Sehwag and Kallis the best after Bradman
by prasheen mothukuri on Nov 23, 2010 04:22 AM  | Hide replies

Forgot about Dravid,Tendulkar and the hypes around them.

How much hundreds and runs they score it does not matter. Retiring with best batting averages, strike rates and possessing most match winning or saving innings is important.
So, because Sehwag and Kallis are far ahead in these, they are the best after Bradman. Especially Sehwag, no bowler in the world can get him out consistently with good deliviries unless he throws away his wicket. Sehway is the greatttttesttttt.Look at his records, 2 fast triples, 4 fast double hundreds, 10 fast 150 scores, batting average 55 . amazing batsman in the modern era.

People are talkng about a person who was removed from the team for loss of form. It is for sure other players will also play like Sehwang provided they are assured a place in the team no matter conistent failures

Does Tendya has any fast hundreds or double hundreds in his career so far.And top of that he playing so many test matches, he does not have a triple hundred too. Pathetic batsman considering the hype around him. What is the purpose of having so many hundreds and test runs when he cant match Sehwag records. Sehwag will be regarded and treated as great batsman when both retire. Tendulkar will be know only for his most hundreds, most test matches etc. All pathetic records. Hail Sehwag the great after Bradman. So its high time Tendya plays like Sehwag and score big fast big hundreds etc.

Dude were you born yesterday? Yes Sehwag is a good stroke maker, but when you talk of class Tendulkar, Dravid, Gavaskar and to some extent manjrekar are exemplary. Sachin is on his 21st year now and still outperforms many greats in the modern day cricket. 1400 runs in 2010 tests not enough for you? Guys like you are such pathetic losers to slander people baselessly. Get back to your desk, Bob from IOWA is calling about why his mixer grinder just blew up.

Man, first understand the message before coming to conclusions. Saching scoring 1400 at age 21 is not important. But what Iam saying having been in cricket for 21yrs and playing so many tests, he does not have records like sehwag. bowlers are afraid of Sehwag. Thats the hallmark of great and best batsman. No team or bowler is afraid of Tendya, as they feel they can get him out anytime even by a debutants. So, stop talking about Saching or Dravid, hail Sehwag for his batsmanship. Another good thing about Sehwag is, he reads all kinds of talk about him whether its in news paper etc and improves his game. Whereas Tendya, he is in his own world. Never try to indentify his flaws, never try to aim being regards best batsman etc

Really? Which opposition says that they are not afraid of Sachin? Sehwag is good on flat placid tracks and can clobber the bowling , so can Yosuf Pathan. Tendulkar cand do that every day - more because of his age. It was just a few months ago when he clobbered 200 in a one day match? Did sehwag ever have the discipline to do that? Also sachin plays at #4 in a strong batting side. There havent been many opportunities to score 300. All other players scoring 300 are either openers or #3's. He practically has every other batting record in the book. With Sehwag - just wait for 3-4 matches when he throws his wicket in the first few overs - and dropped from the side because of that. - Fact : Sachin has never been Dropped because of carelessness or non-performance. Even at his worst - like in this series , he is good enough. At his best - he is incomparable. You guys either have a very short term memory , or are just nuts.

Agree with Prasheen. Sehwag has had more impact with the opposition than Sachin. All opposition relax once they get Sehwag out. Sachin is not as much a worry for them. They treat Sachin just like the other Indian batsmen- Laxman, Dravid, Gambhir and the rest but once they get Sehwag they know they can control the game. Well said Prasheen.

Then you have to agree that Sehwag has always been a careless cricketer. He cannmot be relied upon when India needs him most, especially in the second innings. That is why his second innings performance is pathetic.
Please check records before coming to conclusion.

Dravid and Tendulkar

The hall mark of Dravid and Tendulkar is they dissect their own games after each innings and work for eliminating the flaws. That is why they are great players and have scored the maximum number of century partnership between them.
