When a cricket series happens, all the money goes to the host country. So every cricket board is begging India to come play in their country. They will reciprocate by playing more matches in India. India bailed out New Zealand and Sri Lanka boards out of debt with just one tour. So in essence the money is coming from India and is being split even bewteen India and other countries. So BCCI, came up with IPL to solely capitalize on the cricket craze of billion ppl. So if IPL grew and played for 6 months, all the Indian 'Cricket Money' stays in India. This will surely affect the meaningless short ODI's series' and other cricket boards. But we wont be at loss. Last year BCCI split the IPL income 25 cr each to 25 state boards. Expect it to double this year.Double it again if u add the income from other matches and Champions league. Where do u think the money is going? For building infrastructre and to the players.
Bcci wants sachin to play IPL,CLT than anything else
Infact Sachin/Dhoni stand to loose money by playing these tournis. They have to represent 5 or 6 brands for just 1.5 million which is far less than their usual price. This will also bring their brand value down.They already voiced their concerns and BCCI said it will look into it.

BBCI is earning money ic million then y cant the players too earn ... if u were given a chance wont u do it .. remember its not the players who approach the companies for ads or to be brand ambassoders . its theie performance which the company wants to cash in ...if u dont perform ur OUT of ads and cricket ....simple ..MAKE HAY WHILE SUN SHINES

M.S. Dhoni, S. Raina - Play in IPL & C.Leauge but not in International ODI Cricket. Sachin Tendulkar - Playing In IPL & C.League but not play International ODI Matches since Asia Cup. What are you say about this.

Sachin Tendulkar's ego seems to be bigger than the commitment for Team India . The selectors opeted young team and for the T-20 WC that India won . Since then Tendulkar feels that if he plays for Team India in T-20 , it will be stain on him . If T20 is that way , he should retire from T20 completely like Ponting has done
