Slow scoring rate also a problem..after Sehwag's wicket scoring rate is dipping like anything..especially when Dravid and Tendulkar is there..which accounts on the final day...they have to increase run rate..
It was appalling captaincy from M.S. Dhoni. True, he's won us a lot of games with his captaincy, and batting alike, but that doesn't mean he can do what he pleases. The need of the hour was to set an attacking field, and hope that the NZ batsmen make a few mistakes, but no the field setting was way too defensive, and there was no way that the bowlers could apply pressure on the batsmen. #1 team in the world, you'd expect the captain, even with 1 bowler short to set some attacking fields, and get some wickets, at the cost of a few extra runs, but there seemed to have been no intent on part of either Dhoni, or the bowlers to take any wickets. Why should Indian spectators turn up in huge numbers to support the team, when there is lack of intent, and inspiration? I may sound slightly rude, and one-sided, but clearly there was a lack of intent, and obviously the Indian cricket team didn't play like the #1 team in the world! The pitch being flat is clearly not an excuse, Dhoni!

pujara doesnt play at snail's pace.. slow scoring kills the time, which is not what u want to do if u are a number 1 team

But, you're playing test cricket, and more often than not, you need someone who can spend time at the crease!

I was talking about test cricket in general! Stop over exaggerating, and in doing so sounding like an absolute retard! Dravid's played like how he has for the last 15 years! He's not going to change his style of play because "you" think, and he doesn't need to! The youngsters can wait their turn! And please, never ever compare a Sreesanth inning to Dravid's or for that matter any other batsman!

Hey stupid, spending time doesnot mean that u will be sleeping on the pitch, u are not playing for a draw on the first innings... staying long means score and also dont throw away ur wicket, which certainly was not Dravid, he got out cheap and took away valuable time for the match to have a result..... now i would say Sreesanth batted well with Bhajji, doesnot gave away the wicket and also scored some run along with Bhajji, see the partnership, healthy at a lesser time
If Dhoni has so much complant that the pitches have been 'batsman friendly' then why he could not score in all the three innings he played against NZ sofar? It seems he is included in test the team only as a Captain. He has also not performed well as a Wicket Keeper.Time has come for him to perform otherwise he should call it a day from Test Cricket and continue to plasy one day and T20 matches.
Mr Dhoni pls concentrate on batting. In this pitch only Mccullum & Bhajji has scored a century. what abt you?? giving simplest of simplest catch to fielder. was it a fielding practice or your batting....
