Series win
by Iliyas Alam on Nov 15, 2010 06:45 PM

This Test match seems to be another draw unless some magic spells in the 5th day morning. If NZ can even draw all the 3 matches, that will be a moral series loss for India. Bhajji is batting superbly but plz concentrate more on your bowling. Wanna, see 3 tons in 3 consecutive matches by No.8 batsman. Good Luck Team India.

ZAHEER'S NAKHRAS
by damodaran mohan on Nov 15, 2010 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

Why is it that when his side(not just Indian team ) needs the bowlers to take wicket for a win Zaheer gets injury or on some pretext doesn't get to bowl or play ? And irony is as it is India under Dhoni plays one bowler short mostly !Perhaps Zaheer finds it easier to take wickets of tail enders! He is considered the no.1 bowler but his 'nakhras' at crucial phases of match makes one wonder whether he is doing justice to the expectations of him from his side ?

I think thats very harsh when you consider Zaheer is our leading wicket taker by distance this year.

Don't blame yaar, they are trying their best. Every day is not Sunday. Just think, who won't like to perform at this level....

I agree with Iliyas. Remember that he took 4 wickets (McIntosh, Taylor, Hopkins and Williamson) in the first innings, none of whom are tailenders. He took all those wickets when no other bowler was able to make any impact.

I hope you are aware of the rule that a bowler is not allowed before he first spends the same amount of time that he spent out of the field.

I do not know whether he is fit to bowl or not but even if he is, he has to spend some time in the field before he can actually bowl.

we are challenged by an 8th ranked team in our own backyard. where as our nemesis, SA, are puncturing the pakis in their own den...given this performance, we will be battered and bruised during SA...except for viru, every one will be injured by the fast bowlers of SA....

No.8 batsman is playing so well against No.8th ranked team. Isn't it a good sign for India?

No strike bowlers
by Ravi on Nov 15, 2010 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Zaheer is injured, Harbhajan is unable to take wickets ( He is more of a batsman in this series).India is lacking in good strike bowlers. that is why 8th ranked team is giving such a good fight to No.1 team.

will be seen soon. Magic is not done in cricket, performance is done. Sometimes performance is good and sometimes bad and sometimes ok.
