What is there to blame Dhoni?
by Saravanan Subramanian on Nov 14, 2010 09:37 PM  | Hide replies

there was more criticism on Dhoni's performance than anyone else (esp. Dravid). In most of such comments, I only see the comments originating from hatred and not from facts.
India has never shined in both ODI and test matches as much as now - and one key reason is Dhoni. You like it or not - but that is the fact. He has won matches much more than any other player, if you compare in percentage. Statistics speaks a lot.
Criticize from your mind - not from your heart.

I really feel great about Dravid. He is completely out-of-form. Yet he hangs on and has not spolit his reputation as wall. Dhoni just give away the wicket as if saying I am the captain and wicket keeper - scoring is not my work. I guess this needs to be rested for a while just like yuvi. He will then claw back to his rightful place in the team

statistics sucks. tell me when was the last time MSD contributed to team's win, with his bat or gloves ?? you will have to dig deep into the past to put your finger on some heroics of this ' cool ' captain !1

India won under his leadership, sans any contribution from him. Othera 10 players shined resulting in consistent wins for India

But the fact is, there is no other better player who is a better wicket keeper, a good batsman who can take the match away quickly and a leader who can make impact to the team, than Dhoni.
No captain has been able to deliver the result with out-of-form players as much as Dhoni has done.

You are right about everything. I used to like Dhoni. But Dhonin's batting form in recent past has been really poor.

It is right time to remember great Kapil, but dont compare Bhajji with Kapil. He is a class apart. a legend, whereas Bhajji is just above average stuff

People are mistaken here. just 4-5 good innings don't make him an all rounder. don't forget he averages just 18 in Test matches. And I am saying this even though I am from Punjab.

Dhoni's ZERO performance and warning to Raina
by shali vahana on Nov 14, 2010 09:08 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni's is turning to be a big liability. Never scores when required, scores occasionally, either required or not, can call it fluke. May be he needs to be dropped. Raina is turning out to be one match wonder, need to be warned. There're Pujara or Vijay ready to come in if they perform at the same level.

I do agree with others that Dhoni is
more or less a liability now. His batting has gone down hill & keeping
demands more.He is making merry on
others teammate's performance.I
think Bhajji should be elevated
in batting order as he seems
serious about his batting. Raina/
Sehvag threw their wickets. This
Kiwi bowling is not that bad and
winning this test for India will
be difficult.

He already is a liability. Look at the way he holds the bat, his stance, and the way he leans forward to reach the ball. You can call it by any name, but not cricket.

DK a better choice to replace MSD. Dinesh can bat well, even open the innings and hang on there for a while

Three consecutive life saving and face saving innings can not just be brushed aside as flukes. They were far better and positive than appallingly slow and most dreadful crawling by Dravid and likes. A v miserable strike rate of just 30 or 40 isn't necessary a match winning stuff. You can't pull crowd and pay them their money's worth by such boring and yawning essays on the field. YOu are answerable to them bcoz it is frm their sweats that you are getting your 'drinks' !
