Well performing in few matches is one thing but in reality at 38 they cannot have flexibility or stamina as compared to young guns. These players NEED to be phased out slowly and replaced with young players but I do believe this should not happen before the world cup. After all sachin has been performing and we need his exp in winning the ultimate.

It is not about age, look at the australian Cricketers, it is all about the commitment and professionalism, the only thing is that we are OVERHYPING & OVER PRAISING our CRICKETERS

Well Australia isn't the team to look upto, surely not the present one. I agree with you about hype and stuff but I grew up watching only one sport and that is cricket. I believe age is a factor in any sport, though sachin is exception.
Selfish Dravid earns 1 crore rupees for new contract. He is 38 years and out of form. Just hanging there to get money. Selectors must have told to Dravid to retire as Vengsarkar did for Ganguly.

UNJUSTIFIED STATEMENT!! First of all age has nothing to do with the performance, age should not be criteria, even if any young player is not performing he must be out so it is more about the performance but yes i am agree with you that dravid is struggling with his batting despite of one century in the previous Test Match because he is dropping too many catches now and other thing which must be visualise that now Indian cricket is going to face the touguest part because in some point of time Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Zaheer, Sehwag all going to retire soon or later so indian must let them know when they are going to retire or must asked them when they want to be retire to execute the future plans by looking at the better option because it never would be easy to take place of such skillful batsmen specially when they will p lay in Australia, S.A, NZ or West Indies.

It is very unfair. He is committed cricketer and always more than 100%. People like Dhoni, Sachin and lakshman too droping catches. No one does purposely. Even today, Dhoni dropped Guptil when he was on 11. These things happens in Cricket. Dont forget, Dravid saved many many matches for India. He is the only non wicketkeeper to held 198 catchs in the world. If Dravid is selfish, then all the cricketrs more selfish. Dravid is the real unsung hero of Indian cricket. All of us are going to say Dravid the saviour in upcoming SA tour. Indian team needs him in quick pitches and overseas conditions. Lets watchs cricket as cricket.
