Dhoni's captaincy was disappointing. Sreesanth and Zaheer looked effective with the first new ball and should have been given the cherry straightaway when it was due after 80 overs as the spinners got no purchase from the pitch. His spreading out the field when Macintosh was approaching his century defied logic. Dhoni's keeping has become sub standard of late as is his batting. Wonder if the pressures of captaincy has anything to do with this?
In our India we think of only batting tracks. Any team (Including Bangladesh, West Indies..), who bats first in match, can make big total. There is nothing for bowlers but just donkey work. There are no friendly tracks in our India, which can have something for bowlers. Only poor spin bowling works on last two days. Same on BCCI. Because of this strategies, we never find world class fast bowler and world class opening batsman except few.
