BHAJJI is in effective!
by Crickbufff on Nov 12, 2010 05:21 PM

He needs to be dropped for SA series!
Anyway his away record is worse than his home record!
ASHWIN should have been playing this TEST series in place of Bhajji!

Number 1 position of Indian teams looks like a joke, if bottom ranking Bangladesh can beat NZ by 4-0 in one day internationals why Indian blowing not do this. If we compare this team with Bangladesh in ranking then Indian team should bowled out NZ below 150 runs. But it is not happening.
I did not think Indian team deserve this Rank, it should be Number 1 from bottom

The ranking is nothing but a joke. I don't for a moment believe India is the best test team. At the current time South Africa probably deserves that and England #2. India, Aus should be joint #3 as they have been unable to win away.
South Africa has drawn in India and beaten India overseas. They have beaten England away and drawn at home. They have beaten Aus away. They have beaten Pakistan away and home. You judge for yourself instead of making emotions and stupid ICC system dictate the rankings. If anyone has a better counter argument, I would like to see it.

You have got almost all your stats right except that you forgot one country SL.SA has a pathetic record there where as Ind just drew a test series there (dont think SA can manage that). The fact is India is very good with the bat especially at home and SA very good with the ball especially at home. The fact is SA and India are joing 1st (just becasue others are poorer)with India dependant heavily on their batting to draw matches( eg:Mohali,Ahmedabad) and SA on their bowling (Stey
has to fire and rip through PAK batting if they are to win the current series against PAK)

NZ are better than Aussie. Looks like they will draw all three test matched...

If they had come ahead of Aussie, they would have won some tests...Now indian team practice against Aussie & bettwe... aussie almost one first one

There is a disparity in BCCI contract system. All star batsmen are in A grade, while all bowlers are in C grade. We can never produce world class bowlers if we continue to give short shrift to them. BCCI has to learn to respect the bowlers and treat them on a par with batsmen.

Very good point by Raimer. Watching the test match, I feel the field set by Dhoni is for bad bowling with protection in fine leg and third man on the very first session of the test. Dhoni has completely lost it. What are the so called legends on the field doing. They should advise him and set better fields.

When he has fielders like dravviid who will not exert what can he do. It is a joke to have this dravvid in A grade when he should be dropped and make way for better players. Even Ranji trophy players can replace him.

Jo Pa - are u a ganguly fan?? Dravid is one of the best slip fielders in the team..Now if you are talkign about batting, there are many other players who should be thrown out first like DHONI, Gambhir etc..grow up man!!!!

Krishan Kumar Gupta is his ancestor who went to NZ to start a furniture store.

Anglicized version of the name is Guptill.
