GOD SENT SAVIOUR
by sharmamvs on Nov 26, 2010 11:16 AM

LAXMAN IS A BOON FOR INDIAN TEST TEAM. HE STOOD LIKE A QUTUBMINAR, CHARMINAR IN THE PAST AND WILL BE A REAL GOLCONDA FORT, IN FUTURE.
HIS PERFORMANCE IN THE PAST AND PRESENT IS SUPERB. HE IS UNCOMPARABLE TO ANYBODY.
HE IS REALLY A GOD'S GIFT.

LET US HOPE HE WILL COMPLETE 10000 TEST RUNS IN TESTS AND GET SELECTION FOR THE COMING WORLD CUP 2011.
HE SHOULD BE INCLUDED, SINCE; INDIA IS GOING TO PLAY IN THE SUBCONTINENT, AND HAVING A LOT OF EXPERIENCE IN THE HOME.

thanks to rediff to reminding great hero performance
by vijaya krisha on Nov 12, 2010 05:56 PM

yes laxman is the saviour of indian cricket . the present day situation except india all remaining test nations need to recruit laxman.
about this article all matches probably i had seen but couldnt remember even those i am a hyderabadi . but i also suggest that laxman another feat that he is stubborn when india lost the test game chasing a very low total of 96 runs in west indies in the year 1996 on that time laxman did 36 runs in 180 balls means how stubborn when the ball doing the magic in westindies wickets. match was lost but his ability to play 180 balls is good , if another player could also play like that probably sachin register a test win in windies

Hi Mr. Midget
I think you want him to bat from both ends.
Or bat bowl or field all alone.

selectors should include v.v.s.laxman in world cup, opinion poll
by sher khan on Nov 12, 2010 03:29 AM  | Hide replies

Yes i read all the comments about people opinion regarding V.V.S.Laxman .
He is master ,he got class ,watching his shots is like some one playing flute, special his pull shots and flicks , i never seen anyone like he is the best of all . i rated him NO #1 in my books.

i being watching him from last 12 or thirteen years he the coolest cricketer and very calm and real sports character ,one after another he is saving india in every other test match , i hope selectors include him in world cup ,that ganguly fellow really mess him up for that world cup selection he lied a lot with the idiot Greg chappel. i request indian selectors to give laxman a chance. he deserves a place ,his 1day average is not that bad not to give him chance ,he is better than dravid, yuvraj, rohit, pujara ,even better than gambhir.
guys please let me know your opinion is laxman deserves a place in world cup team.

CERTAINLY. HE DESERVES TO A PLAY IN THE SQUAD FOR UPCOMING WORLD CUP2011, WHICH IS TO BE PLAYED IN THE SUBCONTINENT.

HE SHOULD BE SELECTED AND HE HAS TO PLAY AT No.4, ALONGWITH Mr.DRAVID.

IN THE PAST, HE HAS BEEN NEGLECTED AND IF YOU SEE HIS BATTING STYLE AND AVERAGES, HE IS FIT TO PLAY IN ALL COMBINATIONS OF CRICKET.

HE IS A GIFTED CRAFTSMAN FOR THE CRICKET.
HE IS UNCOMPARABLE.
HE WILL CERTAINLY FULLFIL THE HOPE OF BECOMING WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS IN 2011.

CONGRATULATIONS IN ADVANCE TO OUR GREAT INDIAN TEAM.

Hello Sher Khan, I am from Hyderabad too and I like Lakshman as well. He is a gifted player, invariably. However, I do not feel he fits into limited overs. Neither does Dravid for that matter.

Batting in teams second innings myth and truth
by sanjay on Nov 11, 2010 09:39 AM  | Hide replies

Test sides second innings averages of some top class batsman in tests
Those who bat higher up the order upto one down or two down.

Kallis 58.37 SR 43.23 higher avarage poor strike rate.
Sachin 43.98 SR 53.95 balanced
Ponting 43.58 SR 57.80 balanced
Dravid 43.28 SR 40.42 balanced but still low strike rate
Lara 38.18 SR 54.09 Balanced with low average
Sehwag 30.35 SR 78.33 poorest avarage highest strike rate.

Now those bat down the order i.e. at three down or four down.

Laxman 50.47 SR 50.93 balanced ( first innings average 45.67 )
Inzamam 46.97 SR 54.67 balanced ( first innings average 51.23 )

Batting lower chances of remaining not out are more and facing new ball and fresh Bowlers is less.
But batting in deteriorated pitch are more specially in fourth innings.
