sachin gr8er than bradman proof
by vijay on Nov 08, 2010 10:07 PM

playing for so many years and so many matches like Tendulkar is staggering. To survive the fitness aspect itself is awesome. Bradman had the luxury to play far fewer matches and remain fit. Tendulkar lost some avg due to fitness.
Bradman didnt play 22 years non stop but tendulkar is doing just that and that too with such consistency which is remarkable.

Does writer knows that during Bradman's era, there was no LBW virtualy . That means, out of 280 innings which Sachin has played, 67innings are LBW, 14 innings bowled..that means Sachin in those ocassion he can be not out.

It's like some one comparing a person who scored 90 marks in Science, but never appear in Math, Chemistry called as best student (he may best in Science but no body knows what he would ve scored in other two subjects, where as another student who is scoring 60 plus in all 3 subjects is calling as 2nd best in a class where 100 students are studying in compare to 10 students with student A). Please dont compare like a stupid.

Who knows if he would ve played 280 innings, his avg may be dropped to 60 or 70..

Why Sachin is the best batsman according to BBC Sport UK:
by vijay on Nov 08, 2010 10:03 PM

BBC and Jeff Boycott rated Sachin as the best batsman of the modern era
He decided to score points to each batsman according to a ranking list in 8 areas.

1.Runs scored – The reasoning here is no matter how many innings you played, the longevity of a career is proven by your runs scored.
2.Runs per innings, not average, as averages can be blown up by big not out innings.
3.Your actual average.
4.Strike rate.
5.How many innings it takes to score fifties and hundreds.
6.Conversion rate, in other words how many fifties are turned into centuries
7.Percentage not out innings, as the batsman could be left stranded and has not played until his dismissal.
8. Home vs away average.
Here are the results after adding all the points for each of the seven criteria.
Tendulkar 98 points.
Ponting 85 points.
Sangakarra 78 points.
Kallis 75 points.
Sehwag 72 points.
Lara 71 points.
Jayawardena 64 points.
Dravid 62 points.
Smith 59 points.
Waugh 56 points.
Hayden 55 points.
M Yousuf 53 points.
Border 46 points.
Miandad 44 points.
Y Kahn 42 points

for all sachin critics , for not being won world cup ...
by vijay on Nov 08, 2010 10:01 PM

for all sachin critics , for not being won world cup ...

look my friends , sachin is too good a player to fit into the lucky one day mode ( one day requires th mix luck of 11 very good playrs like aussies to win world cup, ricky alone cud not hav won wld cup without 10 other aussie best ), and test cricket is the real cricket without the involvement of any luck factor, and both aussies and india hav won it , now indians the present world cup winners of REAL cricket.

for sachin critics ,sachin not won world cup ......

of one day ( or LUCK day ) cricket , but won n won n winning

continously world cup of REAL cricket , test cricket for india , for us.

THE ULTIMATE POST ON REDIFF TO GOD SACHIN TRIBUTE
by vijay on Nov 08, 2010 09:58 PM

a new scientific analysis of sachin...

A scientific analysis based on the following variables (mentioned

below) have proved that Sachin is atleast 6 time better than Don

Bradman, 3 times better than Gavaskar, 2 times better than Lara,

Ponting and Viv Richards.

SO THERE IS NO AS SUCH COMPETITION FOR THE POST OF GREATEST PLAYER

EVER....THAT PLAYER IS SACHIN TENDULKAR.....

1. Quality of bowlers faced
2. Variety of pitches played
3. Level of pressure
4. Level of fitness required
5. Total runs scored at international Level
6. Amount of cricket played
7. on-field and off-field conduct

SRT - Sachin RECORD Tendulkar

o my GOD

Laxman greatest Test player ever
by timepass on Nov 08, 2010 09:43 PM

VVS Laxman is the greatest ever Test batsmen world over, far ahead of Tendulkar. Its a pity the Dravid backers pushed him to no. 5 else he would have scored 20,000 runs by now and won and saved many more matches for India.
