Amre didnt have a godfather

Amre was a good batsman but didnt have charisma unlike sachin and kambli around him. Another factor that worked against him might be that indian team was flooded with Mumbai players then including Sachin, Kambli, Manjrekar, Ravi shastri and some more. Praveen did all good things as a batsman. he scored first century in a test against SA. He scored 80 to win a one day match in a series where India won only one match in 6 match series.
In oner day he would always come in slog overs under pressure to build run rate. He wld always socre 15-20 before getting out in those situations. But somehow he didnt get support from selection committee. All players including Sachin, Dravid, ganguli, dhoni, kambli had bad patches and still survived some time in the team. And that gave them opportunities to prove their worth. But Praveen didnt get that kind of support. Some people are born unlucky

Abbey,

Do you work with TCS? Because they have a tendency of not mentioning anything with respect to the requisite topic but everything else :). No need to bring in Praveen's Test pr Onday credentials as a player. If you want to talk talk how good of a coach he is or what improvements he needs to do to make the team win..LOL,

Joshua
great conclusion of yours. Anyways I was continuing discussion on the other comments on the article. I should have replied to previous comments rather than posting it for the article itself. ;-)

Domestic cricket is my favorite. I really regret the fact that Sachin did not play much domestic cricket.

He used to bat beautifully. Good at facing west indian fast bowlers. Some how like Vinod Kambli, sandagopan ramesh he did not click at the international level.
