HIS CONTRACT WAS FOR A CRORE PLUS TAXES...
by rohansen on Nov 02, 2010 08:08 PM

Now he asked for 20 crores ? He may have thought that they will give him that as bonus due to his playing abilities but the BCCI did not oblige him. So he went public without mentioning the sum asked for by him. But the secret was leaked.

Be Fair

If Gavaskar made 36 in 60 overs, then he is the one who cracked successive centuries in West Indies against a dreaded fast bowling attack. He is the best opener that India produced. So, it's better not to talk about his cricketing credentials

There is no doubt he is the best test opener india has produced so far. But unfortunately he did enough damage to one day teams by killing the spirit of the game by disobeying captains.

So you think you would give a free advice and be part of governing council of the body which mints for free! Mr. Dinesh how charitable of you! However much I have earned, why would I give me time and services to anybody for free especially when it is not meant for philanthrophy! Do you mean to say that Mr. Warren Buffet should stop earning from his stocks...or should Bill Gates start giving windows free of cost! stop this bull! Gavaskar will have numerous philanthrophic ways to spend his money...BCCI certainly cannot be part of it!

Mr.Dinesh U should feel ashamed of ut half knowledge and bigfat mouth...Sunny has earned everything and deserves it...Abt 36 in 60 go find the facts...Its not like Sunny couldnt score faster...It was reaction to stupid fans who booed Indian opening pair as they started their innings...Sunny did apologised for that reaction later on...The Sunny had the fatsest odi century on his account for Ind later on..So get qualified before u comment on anything, with jaundiced eyes...Abt Comentrator job hey He is the Best in the cricket world to do that...If u dotn like ,dont listen but tht wont change the Fact..

Boss, don't you get paid for your services in your office. What's wrong in Gavaskar demanding his salary that he rightfully deserves.

BCCI is giving IDI amin and Robert Mugabe a run for their money!
by sandeep kumar on Nov 02, 2010 07:05 PM  | Hide replies

Those people were despots, but now BCCI is slowly becoming into one. First they were after smaller targets, like ICL, and then targetting boards of small countries like NZ and WI over ICL disputes, and a few contract settlements with sony, espn etc. But now, its becoming far more powerful and attacking legends like Gavaskar. And they were jealous of Modis growth for IPL, and they kicked him out. This is a monster that is growing, and needs new targets everyday. Soon even Tendulkar will be targetted and made to retire. Kapil,Amarnath, gavaskar all legends and its a depressing sight to see such greats humbled by men not fit to tie their shoelaces

Sandeep, you have said it. Appreciate your comment, really puts
things in their right perspective.
More than any one who humiliated Jimmy Amarnath was that little princeling from Stoneville-Raj Singh Dungarpur. He couldn't stomach the "selectors are jokers" comment and went to the churlish extent of asking the Indian team
in West Indies to keep Amarnath out of the dressing room. And he achieved a new low when he revealed that the great Lala Amarnath pleaded with him to select Jimmy Amarnath because they (the Amarnaths) were facing bad times.
