dravid is 38 and shd retire and yuvraj shd replace him in the next series. we need to keep pujaras rainas and yuvis as sachin laxman and dravid are at the end of their careers its a bitter truth and we cant deny it.

i really laugh when people talk about retirements of sachin and dravid. Millions of Indians will prefer to watch these two playing for 100 more years rather than watching flashier batsmen like Yuvi who seems to play with a sword rather than the bat.

India Sri Lanka England Australia Pakistan South Africa New Zealand West Indies Ireland Zimbabwe Bangladesh
the recent manner in which sachin is playing is just exemplary. only word can explain that - rest. test cricket is top level, and we need the best players to play in it.resting them for meaningless odis and T20s makes absolute sense. and sending them early to south africa is one of the best moves. bcci and selectors seemed to have grown a brain suddenly.the results are there to be seen.

Soon we are moving towards a new paradigm - different teams for all different formats. Do anything you can, to preserve test cricket.

Lets stop talking about sachin's retirement. He has proved everyone wrong. We shud enjoy his game till he is playing.he surprises us every year with some extraordinary performance.
I am sure he will score another 500 runs against the hapless NZ. This record will for ever. The NZ team will feel like running back home in the middle of the DEAD pitches series. Pity NZ...
Re: NZ will struggle..
by Deepak Sharma on Nov 02, 2010 06:04 AM
there are 11 players in the team, i guess if NZ is hapless then all of them should score 500 runs.. right.. if only sachin is able to score, that means he is not amongst the regulars.. so just relax and enjoy him playing his best
Re: sachin fake GOD
by Sameer on Nov 02, 2010 11:31 AM
he hit what 37% of the runs ? Tendy has scored 50% of the runs on most occasions. Also, why don't you go and score the 200 ? If scoring 200 was easy, how come no one except tendy has done it ?
You mo.r.o.ns give too much importance while chasing. You mean to say that there is no pressure to put good number of runs on board ? while batting first, you have no clue as to how well the opposition team will bat.

wow.. and you get so much pleasure by writing this... ever heard of try to spit on sun!!! guess it falls back on you.. i pity you dude..Sachin has to prove nothing to noone..
Re: sachin fake GOD
by Abhishek Shukla on Nov 02, 2010 10:58 AM
Can anyone match the consistency of sachin. Every other plays one knock and we fools compare him with sachin. Even Afridi has made fastest century, what he is doing now. Sachin is best, why we ppl critise our own country men when rest of world accept it.

then u go and play crc against SA & alteast score a single run. that why Sachin is great ( God )
Re: sachin fake GOD

Abdur Razzak can do only once like this in his lifetime whereas Sachin is doing again & again for last 20 years.Thats why he is GOD.
Re: SACIN FUTURE BLEAK...NO ONE WILL ASK ABOUT HIM AFTER WC
by rahul on Nov 02, 2010 12:41 PM
nobody asked you about anything even today....thats the difference.
ONCE SOMEONE ASKED ME ...HAVE YOU SEEN GOD ... I NOT ABLE TO ANSWER HIM THAT TIME ... THEN ONE DAY ... I SEEN SACHIN SIR FROM 10/15 FEET WITH MY OWN EYES .... THEN I REALIZED THAT ... I JUST SEEN THE GOD ...

please stop calling everybody sir ... stop grovelling on the ground and earn roti by your own mettle.
Sachin perhaps can never be a good captain or a good coach. That said, he is a great player with a intent and a catalyst which nobody can deny.
Similarly he may fail terribly in national politics, or even some NGO activities, or even as a movie star. He perhaps cannot make it even as a cricket commentator.
He can probably host a couple of flow shows on TV and make a joke of him. The best for him would be to retire totally from public life and appear occasionally on TV for some expert comments on cricket.

there is saying that CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT cannot be a good businessman and good businessman cannot be chartered accountant. so same applies to sachin tendulkar too. tendulkar is great player but cannot be a good coach.

WHO ASKED FOR YOUR ADVICE? SACHIN KNOWS WHAT TO DO. WHO ARE YOU TO MAKE COMMENTS WHEN YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED CRICKET?
Re: Re: Sachin's future
by Polar Shift on Nov 01, 2010 07:30 PM
It works like that Moses. You dont need to play cricket to know the psyche of a person. You just need to be little subtle in the observation of a person.
Sachin is a great guy but not so good in many things other than cricket.
Re: Re: Re: Sachin's future
by Sameer on Nov 02, 2010 11:34 AM
you need to play cricket at highest level to understand the more important facets of cricket. You don't really have that.
Second, atleast he is great in something.
Third, we always talk about Sachin and cricket. There is no reason to go beyond cricket.

polar is afraid if his uncle bal thaaku will lose his power over mumbai if sachin contests in elections.. polar, yes sachin will win bayya...
Re: Sachin's future
by naveen dhanerwal on Nov 02, 2010 09:09 AM
Completely agree with Polar! I also think that he can never be a good coach! Of course he won't go in politics because he hasn't that quality in him! But, he would still be able to give something to cricket after his retirement! He's a big influence in cricket and on young players. He'd be a good mentor for young talent, likes of Kohli, Rohit, Pujara, Irfan, Ishant, Manish Pandey, Tiwari etc. But..whatever he do..i just wish him good luck and peaceful happy life ahead!
Re: Sachin's future
by Sameer on Nov 01, 2010 06:52 PM
you know , sometimes its best to keep your thoughts to yourself. What makes you think that he would host some gameshows in the first place ?
Re: Re: Sachin's future
by Polar Shift on Nov 01, 2010 07:02 PM
Oh Boy ! Keep the thoughts to one self ! Hmm and then you blurt out ? Lol - Kidding, you are right he can probably do well running a cricket academy.
Re: Re: Re: Sachin's future
by abhishek kulkarni on Nov 01, 2010 08:02 PM
On the contrary I think he can make a great coach even for future players to come due to his ability to gel well not only with his fellow players but the newer players as well. In fact I think he may play a major role even in public life after his retirement to become immortal in the eyes of cricketing fans all over the world! What a personality - not only cricketing, but in lot of other things as well! I pretty well think he should start a cricket academy - a cricketer - a restauranteur - a coach - a proud son and the best! Always the BEST!
He is God's gift to the World Cricket. If he will get retire many people may get disinterested to this game.No one could replace him.He is self made man not having Midas Touch like Dhoni.
