Now its very easy to Tarnish a country. Make a call to a cricketer and say "Hey! I am an australian man. We would like you to underperform in the English county match. Name your price. There are others involved".

And then we will all cry.. Australians are cheat... They are trying to fix the match!

Catch the original caller and drill down to other details. Just an anonymous call is not enough!

The only condition in which this fake thing will not sell is posing as a "Pakistani Businessman" and offering money! The player will cuss on the phone, cos everyone knows that there are no Pakistani businessmen, only terrorists and beggars! he he he

Good point. There are over a thousand NGOs in India where thousands of kind and generous people work to improve lives of fellow Indians. If we all focus more in helping them and less in condemning the errants, the good will be much more powerful in India.

Fixing is true
by sarat babu on May 26, 2010 10:58 PM

Fixing is very much happening in Every form of Cricket and in Every form of match. Just that the amount would vary depending on the type of match and opponents. I've seen people who play the betting and the prediction is 99% accurate.. How would the bookies know when someone is going to get out or what would be the result

no cricket for some time please
by vijayan govindan on May 26, 2010 09:49 PM

let there be no cricket for some more time so that people who were fed up with seeing the recent most boring 20-20 world cup ,especially whenever India played, can get back their lost interst in cricket. during this interval let the players do dance and enjoy in parties rather than playing on the ground and spoiling our mood.

Publicity stunt
by sirisha k on May 26, 2010 09:24 PM

This is just a publicity stunt by english cricket board. Who is bothering about english domestic matches. Even crowds at grounds also very thin. I don't think any body will these county players for fixing matches. Just for publicity, wide viewership, english counties are doing this. No businessman will do business without profit. Just revive english county cricket, they made this type news.
