Something drastically wrong with Govt. bureacracy, a huge cry is made in media for the mal pracetices by Modi, so far he is roaring like a lion and these incompetent bureacrats in nexus with few politicians could not prove anything so far.

BCCI charge sheet against Modi is falling like house of cards
by Orient Mystique on May 21, 2010 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

Soon after BCCI issued Charge Sheet-2 to Modi about his meddling with cricket in England i.e. with counties bypassing ECB, the counties themselves came out any hanky panky. IMG has cleared Modi and Modi has threatened to sue ECB in London.

When Modi wanted the documents / evidence based on which Charge Sheet-1, BCCI admitted that for most charges it doesn't have any evidence or documents other than allegations, rumors made in media.

Now ICC has cleared IPL-3 of any match fixing and that shows one of the charges in Charge Sheet-1 had no substance.

Some of the charges made by BCCI against IPL regarding non-disclosure of his interest in three franchise teams are an absolute joke. BCCI is the parent body and IPL only its arm to execute the T20 tournament. So what were the rules BCCI made regarding the eligibility of franchises and what did the whole administration do at and before the time of auction to enforce these rules?

The funniest part of it all is that the chargesheets are signed by a guy in his capacity as BCCI secretary, while he is also the owner of a franchise team. Will anyone tell me, for example, can an Under Secretary in Industry Ministry of Govt of India get a licence to start a steel plant and then issue a charge sheet to a Deputy Secretary in the same ministry for the latter's acts of omission and commission in discharging duties in the same ministry?

BCCI is in jungle raj.

Since many one sided matches and not much suspense unlike IPL 2 where many many close matches and 2 unlikely teams clashed in the Final.

A mistake that will not be repeated...
by H Shah on May 20, 2010 10:07 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI clearly does not want to repeat this mistake. Modi the killjoy does not understand sweat equity and stuff, so he had to be removed. IPL4 will bring an additional dimension of suspense over who is fixing what, who is paid off and who is not, etc. IPL will be fun again for the other half of India - the Congressies.
