Is this a way of saving energy?
by manoj rawat on May 19, 2010 12:23 PM

Almost 60% of India do not get a continuous 24 hours of uninterrupted energy supply. Government keep crying about short fall of electricity and hence load shedding and all the other things... in some villages and small cities its about 16-18 hours of load shedding.
What is the signal government trying to send? We are not energy self sufficient and they play IPL matches at night under flood lights and now test matches at night? WOW .. I guess the administrators have no shame left in them and all they want to earn money leaving aside the peoples plight of even necessary day to day necessity... Shame Shame...

Amazingly shameful
by Dev on May 19, 2010 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Recently the news came-up public that after the night pub dance , some willing women get in touch with some of the players . Then they take them to room for pleasure ride . Some players even take two together . These are the national heroes who practice heroism with multiple 1/cosC women inside their hotel room and we cheer for them - shame and disgrace to cricket and BCCI

but Bollywood heroes do the same, arent they also in the same league as our cricketers, the most disgusting fact is BCCI could not come out and let the public know what happened, neither they give any permission to the players to come out and tell the truth...its the board's dikat that makes us fans and media to make up stories

i think indians r always too touchy about these issues...but it is their personal life...actual issue is wrong team selection and lack of fitness as well as form...

they get a lot of time for their personal enjoyment if they dont play for the tournaments like IPL.. those 45 days were for their recreation and personal life not for playing games for money.. if they would have utilized that time for themselves i think their fitness would have not taken the toll.. Please try to understand the real issue not the issue on the surface.. its not about players or IPL.. if about what legacy and thoughts we are leaving behind us for our generations..

I never see players from existing team from Aus, SA, WI, NZ doing ads like the way our Team India players do.. Do they live a middle class life ? I guess Cricket as a professional game give its players enough money so that they can live a good life.. but if you want more and more and more and becomes greedy, no one can help such players.. they are like politicians , until they are in field gather as much as you can?

Wat about power conservations?
by Suvir Suvir on May 19, 2010 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

Sports should always support and take care of social aspects also. Today in India most of the states are having 12hrs avr power shedding. Does day-night tests deserves its place in India?

Worldwide we are having soo many conference on resource energy conservation. These comments are so pathetic and silly.
