shameless dhobi
by ASHISH KUMAR on May 17, 2010 11:08 PM  | Hide replies

same is true with politcian dhobi who never succedd in t20 intnle even after playing 23 matches.
No fifty & no match winning inning in his entire career.
In fact his slow batting & inability to strike ball at crucial time costs india many matches in last two wcup.
But will this politician will ever have courage to say that he doesn't deserve aplac in team.
I still feel if some one kick this undesrving politician dhobi out of team- It will be good for Indian cricket. There are few brainless & regional fanatic people who keep blaming vijay for nothing. Fact is politician dhobi has much more damage potential than anyone else & he destroyed Indian cricket by dirty politics.

In India everything is about making money
by spectratrade on May 17, 2010 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

Indian players are making money many times more than Aussies and English players, but their commitment to Indian colors was much less off and on the ground. Why do we idolise these spoiled brats and forget people like V. Anand all the time again its money

Biased selection
by Ashish Kumar on May 17, 2010 05:21 PM  | Hide replies

Why is no one blaming Srikant for favouring tamil Nadu players at the cost of the team. Uthappa should have come in place of Murli Vijay and Pragyan Ojha should have been in place of Karthik. Amit Mishra should have played for Piyush Chawla. Gambhir and zahir Khan were injured right from the beginning and should have never been in the team. With such team selection nothing else could have happened.

No need 2 blame - remember, it sports game, no need forra blme game. And in sports game, winning and loosing r a part n parcel.
Similarly, stop praising our cricketers and make Demo-Gods outta them when they win. B matured, and maintain balance. Play games with head, not hearts, okay?

why is no one blaming Srikant for selecting Yousuf, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Nehra, Jadeja,... I think when we can answer that question, Murali Vijay's inclusion mystery can be solved.

All these players selected based on politician dhobi recomendation.
Dhobi will never go anywhere if yuvi/gambhir/raina/RP/Ishan/bhaji/chawla etc not with him (even to toilet)

Cricket will remain in India,if not elsewhere even after 100 years, since lazy Indians have identified themselves with lazy cricket.Indians are not capable of playing vigorous games like football,tennis,etc.properly.
The only part of cricket which requires great physical power is fast bowling. No indian is capable of fast bowling at 150km.,the maximum speed at intl.level.

Dude ... running between the wicket and fielding and tear your a$$ in two, if you do that even for 2 hours .. and these guys are on field for 3 hours during T20, almost a full working day for a 50 over match and continuously for 5 days!! in a Test match. There are only few other games that require such tremendous amount of stamina .... think before you write buddy!

exactly, and consider our pathetic fielding also. dbl think before you defend our demigods. Ajai is right that we will never figure in stamina games. but the mass needs heroes to sing for glory. and they find them in 8 nations circus 'cricket.'

It's always easier to criticize than praise. I'm not 'godifying' any cricketer, nor any other sports person.

In the end cricket is a sport, and sadly, people fail to realize this.

Our crickters went to a pub after a loss. What would we do when we are feeling down, after we've lost something... maybe a game, maybe a deal, maybe after getting demoted, getting fired ...??? We'll do something which will lift our spirits ... maybe we'll socialize, maybe watch TV .. I think you get the idea.

If you don't like the circus called cricket .. don't watch it ... I don't watch it most of the time .. only when I feel like .. or when the situation in the game is interesting.

Same goes for other games .. don't watch it if you don't like it .. let others watch who like 'em.
