For me. Experience counts. Indian selectors presumed that the young guns will prove better than the experience cricketers and hence selected the young champs. You can see the difference yourself. It was just a matter of luck for these young gund whioh clicked in the opening tournament of T20 where Indian won while they also had some experience players in their team and T20 in those days was a begining. Look at the team squad now in this tournament. I think the average years of exp for the players in this year T20 squad with any type of cricket format is around 3 years. The body language is not at like winners, sometimes I feel that they come on thei field directly out of their bed. Lousy, tiring, non-healthy performance. Get the experience in the team with a combination of 70% (exp)-30% (fresh/young champs) and see the difference.
All this is a joke! Why should we believe that our team will come back winning every major tournament? Its sport and the better team wins.
The Indians looked exhausted and disinterested. BCCI should be the first people who should be knowing why players did not play to their full potential.
Even circus artists get their rest after performing for their bosses. Fact is our cricketers were squeezed out by their IPL bosses with little energy left for national duty.
The BCCI should take ownership of this and not the players.

many other nation players played IPL too....but they never showed any lack of interest or "tiredness" in this tournament...afterall it's a 20-20....it's all abt comittment and descipline, that's lacking in dhoni's team, nothing else...this is a meaningless excuse..
way to understand the issue - amke a five meber committee - prefarbly frompast cricketers ,bureaucrats and politicians and let them visit uSA ,China ,japan ,UK and Germany .Set a limit of 6 months and then give two extensions of the same period by the time next WC next edition will be over and we need a new committee to understand yet another disaster .May be the committee could nto do well as they were away from families and next xommittteee send the families also .So the chakkar continues .......
EITHER TENDULKAR OR SHEWAG SHOULD BE CAPTAIN OF INDIAN TEAM. WE SHOULD REQUEST SACHIN TO TAKE OVER AS CAPTAIN FOR WORLD CUP ONLY BECAUSE WE NEED TO HAVE THIS CUP IN INDIA AND BECOME THE NUMBER ONE TEAM IN ODI AS WELL.
PLEASE SACHIN FOR INDIAN PUBLIC BE THE CAPTAIN OF INDIA AND FOR WICKET KEEPING WE CAN HAVE DINESH KARTHIK WHO IS THE BEST TEAM PLAYER.

wah kya team hai bhayya.. zaheer played matched with around 9.5 economy rate, harbhajan played matched with ZERO wickets in all matches.. Dinesh karthik who got 50 odd chances and didnt prove he is worth in a single match too and stilll getting chances because of chennai slum dog srikanth...pravin kumar with 115 km/hr beatuful speed, Yusuf pathan with worlds poor batsman in short pitched balls..Irfan pathan whose bowling became worst day by day... Uthappa is the best player along with rohit sharma who lacks consistency.. IS THIS THE TEAM U WANT?? Selector srikanth is much better than u hero..
By selecting worst team( especially bowlers who can never take 10 wickets in their dreams too and batsmen who can never go for a hook shot) how can BCCI expect to bring the world cup?? Before examining players first examine selection panel(The worst possible human beings )....
Please dont make Worldcup matches as a testing match to test credentials of player like Murali Vijay. And what was the reason to include that Ravindra jadeja. According to me he was the main culprit for losing matchs in 2009 T20 worldcup matches. Again see Mr. Jumbo ( Yuvraj singh ), see his beer belly. How that person can be fit. There is no way this Indian team is going anywhere.

If BCCI has questioned the 2009 WC failure, jadeja would have been out. God knows how people are select in the Indian Cricket Team. When touring Bangladesh, we have Tendu, Ganguly and all big shots and while touring Australia we will try new comers who have never played a ball above 120 kmph. BCCI is complete a corrupt body.
first let him prove as a batsman , dont live on past glory, otherwise 2011 world cup will go away from us. fitness and committment andother good quality also needed from batsman. see the way australians and englishplayers work , peterson used a word harder and harder , that is what otherwise waste , for the sake representing the country , only advertisement and endorsement and what not , prove every now and then then you are a player, footballers you see the committment
there are as many reports submitted near bcci but again & again mistek in the sellection,fitnation. bcci check weat,fitnation the problem is aoutmatice solve.
