Pakistan managed to strangulate the mighty Australia. They took them by thier balls through out the match. Moreover, Pakistan managed to reach semi finals despite many of their top players missing in action. You can never write off Pakistan. They have found a true leader in Afridi. I love him. I want to marry him. :)

Pakistan's mistake
by Jomesh George on May 16, 2010 12:12 PM  | Hide replies

Pak played with 3 specialist bowlers only including one pacer.Even Afridi and Razzak can be treated as part time bowlers only.If either Mohd Sami or Asif played instead of Mohd Hafeez the result would have been different.Another thing never ask a spinner to bowl the penultimate over when the opposition need 18 or something.Batsman can preplan their shots against spinners and clear the boundary comfortably.Aussies hit 14 sixes against Pak out of which 13 were against spinners.

bro, please don't talk abt probability and possibilities. if they had a diff set of bowlers in the sqad then entite scenario would have been different. Anymoment can change the situation, even if the match started after 10 minutes pak wouldn't have scored 190... So let us now talk about what would have happened...

Indian Hockey Team has performed exceptionally well in ongoing Ajlanshah Hockey Cup but that hardly finds any place in our media. Is not our media playing a biased role while reporting on Indian Sports? it is cricket everywhere. I am not against Cricket but at the same time other sports should not be totally ignored.

The Match was Fixed
by spectratrade on May 16, 2010 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

Look at the way Ajmal bowled the last over, you can easily see the match was fixed. ICC is always looking the other way. Pakistan as always leads the pack in match fixing.

if you want to fix the match why do you want to do that in the last over. you could have done that any over between 1 and 19... or could have been while pak was batting.... Please don't talk like brainless. might be while tendular scored 100 or double match would have been ... Don't be jealus of Australian team

CSK should let go Mr. Cricket
by statesman on May 16, 2010 09:24 AM

CSK should let go Mr. Cricket and instead bid for a more deserving batsman as Mike Hussey reserves his best only for his national team, not for his IPL team obviously. Anyhow, he can't be faulted for that as he does not get proper opportunities or time to display his prowess in the IPL as Dhobi keeps chopping and changing the batting order. Instead of allowing a match-killer like Parthiv Patel, he should have made Mike Hussey open the batting.

HUSSEY ALL THE WAY
by Pradeep Mohendru on May 16, 2010 06:58 AM  | Hide replies

An unbelievable knock of 60 from 24 balls by Mike Hussey really took the game away from Pakis. As Waqar rightly said, Pakis played top cricket, only to be outplayed by this amazing knock by MH & a superb cameo by Cam White.

Aussies will surely win this T20 World cup.

Aus canScrew Pak in any position, dont even compare Aus with stupid Pak. Only once in a while Pak can put a semblance of a fight.

Yes, Drax. The Porkis actually qualified for the semi-final only through the back door. They are all cheats. The ICC should investigate and find out the true ages of the Porkis. It is really funny to see the ages as claimed by them - Afridi still 30, Abdul Razzaq still 30 or so, Mohd Aaameer just 19?, to name a few.

In all fairness, it must be admitted that India do not have quality bowlers of international standards. Ian Chappel made a correct remark and instead of taking note of the same Harbhajan reacted funnily. Majority of the persons representating our cricket board only thinks about money ignoring pride. Identify talent and pick 3 quality bowlers. We will win all games. It does not matter who leads the side.

The weakness of Indian batsmen against fast and bouncy ball was shamefully exposed in these matches.
This longlasting problem has to be addressed if really wants to be real no.1 outside India.

Yeah that's true Mr Krishnan, but the thing that amazes me,it's the batters who has failed us repeatedly and it's batting which is suppose to be our strong point. If our strong point is this weak, imagine our weak point. Not a single strike bowler and we want to win the World cup... huh

T20's accepted finally !
by sanath on May 16, 2010 12:21 AM  | Hide replies

One big plus out of this WC is that finally some ppl in this board are going to acknowledge T20 as a serious form of cricket. As long as India was winning, it was supposed to be a fluke-style of cricket about which no one cared. Now that Aussies are winning, there are going to be hundreds of Aus-lickers who are going to vouch by T20 and how it is a game of high skill and technique and blah blah !

All we can do is pity them, for if they are indeed Indians, shame on them for riding our team down, and if they are non Indians hiding behind Indian names, then shame of them for stooping to such levels !

Finally, in a T20 WC final, we got the two best teams qualified not by fluke but by defeating all the teams on their way.

Yes. This T20 WC final confirms T20 is a serious thing.

Great Game?
by king on May 16, 2010 12:18 AM

Even full tose had to be place properly to score, but that does not make you great batsmen. Pakistan made it easy to Ausi by bowling only spinner for most of 20 over even they were hit. So they had to lose fast bowlers would have done the trick for Pakistan Anyway hussey was amazing, even if bowling was cheap he must be appreciated for the mental strength of chasing huge score. Well done Hussey

1st? Should be "First". In proper way, should be " to learn how to write english" not "to learn to write proper english". Then "grammer" should be "grammar". Should not use "tenses", should be tense.

Now, Ritika madam, you should understand who needs to learn the basic grammar and tense. Good luck next time, all iz well. ;)

and never start a sentence (especially the word first as in this context) with a number - it is "first learn..." and not "1st learn"
