Lalit Modi is too clever by half and his grin on TV cameras says it all. There is no denying his grand aim was to make an immense fortune by involving all the high and might, as also use his political connections to bull doze thru all wrong doing.
Lalit Modi's game plan by submitting a super voluminous response is to make the task difficult and cumbersome for the BCCI. He believes by tiring out the BCCI, there wont be any action against him. Moreover, he is inclined to use his immense IPL fortune to fight the legal issue with the BCCI.
It is important the BCCI also retaliates with a counter response by writing to the Govt. and handing over the case to the Govt. with a request that Govt. agencies including the CBI, IT dept and Enforcement Directorate are deployed to further probe the matter. The only flip side in the BCCI taking such a step is the likely involvement of the decision makers within the BCCI who may have an interest in the IPL. Here the Govt may have to be proactive.
Although IPL is a brilliant idea but the aim of Modi was to completely demolish National Cricket by enamouring everybody into it. The lure for money amongst the players and its tiring format has been reflected in our team being ignominously routed from the 20Twenty world cup.
Conclusively, the IPL as an idea is brilliant and must go on but in a clean way. The world respects anything that is a successful business idea and it helps the country enhance its soft power.

IPL is a brainchild of Lalit Modi and we have to salute him for it.The very fact that Pakistani cricketers were crying like Beggars having left out of IPL-3 and the report from Newzealand telling that New zealand players earn more money hitting a six in IPL than their entire yearly contract with their Cricketing board tells lot about Modi's brilliance. Its definitely Modi who made whole World bow to India's financial muscle when it comes to Cricket!!

Then what ??? Should one fellow take the entire BCCI hostage.
Please also bear in mind IPL was an answer by BCCI to Zee Networks proposed ICL. IPL is not Lalit Modi's brainchild. Given the situation obtained then, it was necessary for BCCI to come up with an apt answer as quickly as possible which was the IPL. Lalit Modi just happened to be around and was given the charge of implementing it.
The idea of the IPL is not in question, what is in question is the way of implementation. If you feel all that he did was ok, the lets stop talking of probity.

Right.. IPL was a duplicate of ICL and as BCCI been feeding ICC, IPL got international approval! Government should adopt ICL and give them life. let them too enjoy the public money!

Vipin : that is the principle reason why there is an anxiety why BCCI wont handover the case to the Govt. Also notice the silliness with which the BCCI is handling Modi.
mahatma Modi is nver wrong, the politician. But this Modi I am not so sure.May be Mahatma Modiji can be made IPL chief, he will do a damn good job, like he is doing in Gujurat.Hail Mahtma Modiji.
If Modi had done any wrong then it is courtesy the kingpins who indulged him.Today simply these culprits can not flee away keeing him in danger. Modi was new to bcci but within a span of 4 years he reached at zenith of power, under whose guidance. All those people need to be booked.
Modi must be having lots of stories to tell, about how he rolled with lots of bimbos during the three ipls. He must be shot like a pig in the sewer. He has sold cricket in every way possible for money and ipl has become a circus with ring masters and clowns like modi.
Do not let this guy escape the clutches of law. Along with him, take down the sugar daddys like sugar pawar. Show them how strong Indian law is. Do not ever let these guys off the hook. Investigate their assets and lock their accounts. Make them reel under the Indian law.

he is simply making mockery of judiciary and democracy .. It is nothing new for him and his Clan which they have done over the years in all the work they have done . IPL has been reduced to booze and boobs and all players big and small have become Slaves for they have been brought in Auctions . Imagine Sachin our national hero walking and people with money ,booze and boobs bidding for Him ....sorry state of afair ... This is what will be expected by drug pedllar ,dealer and consumer
Modi clearly seem to be having a dig at the judiciary of India. So many loop holes not withstanding, the law is out to get him. Then he springs a surprize bu submitting boxes full of response. It will take years for judges to go through the pages. His response seem to make Mumbai blasts report a tiny volume.
People like Modi, who take the judiciary and law and make mockery of the same must not be spared. Squish this guy under the democracy. The only way Indian judiciary can instill faith among common citizenry is by ruthlessly coming down on people like Modi.
