Why is the media here so negative? Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse to acknowledge them. Why? We are the first in milk production. We are number one in Remote sensing satellites. We are the second largest producer of wheat. We are the second largest producer of rice. Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters. I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.
In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.. Why are we so NEGATIVE? Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T.Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology.
Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lectur

Every page had its first page and last page ur talking about front page. But all of us interested in last page ( Sports page only). Our Media is giving true picture of day to-day happeings and the freedom of press gives us true picture though all our News Channels, Internet we are getting actual information of what is going around. Media helps us to became more vigilant and alert. You might not have observed but achievements are also highlighted in our Media. As a cricket loving country through Rediff all of us can speak our hearts out for the embrassament caused to us by our Cricket team and the BCCI ( Richest in the world)
Now since Englnad has reached the finals, this loud mouht Broad will start to speak trash, firstly no body wanted you in IPL, secondly the real reason is that you would have been smacked out of the ground everytime you bowled on indian pitches. this borad needs to be reminded about Yuvi. he shall not speak more.

he is indirectly pointing this to indian team...this ch-u-t-iya was hit 6 sixes in 6 balls by YUVI..it't true in saying every D-O-G has his day!
Please check what Broad has actually said in the interview and the headline that these guys have put. Similarly, TOI today has distorted Sachin's comments about playing short and have put some sensational headline that Indian team needs to tackle short stuff better.

Correct ! 100% true. Rediff's journalism (so called) is the worst, putting Indian journalism into shame.

Not only rediff, there are other so-called big media houses doing the same. Yday, Amitabh Bachchan said in his blog that I would not tell what caste do I belong to the census. Barkha Dutt in her program was claiming that Bachcan is opposed to census and is of the opinion that census should not take place. Is this journalism that you are putting false words into their mouths??
this english boy wants rest just after two tour, our player playing 365*24, some time playing cricket, vollybol, swiming, girl, party and playing with fan how they not tired stop blaming, every one have personal life, need to hit more sixes to this laal muh wale bunder ko so he will get life time rest

This foolish guy's colleagues who played in IPL are in top form in the T20WC, and this guy's fluke spell (only 1 in every 30 or 40 matches he plays) got him accolades. What a kiddish judgment. He's just in the team because of his father, otherwise he would have not even been playing county cricket.
No wonder English cricket is in doldrums...A 20 year old boy needs rest after 2 tours... If you get noticed in IPL, you have a future and lots of money...T20 world cup is the 3rd grade these days...Get real!!!
