Senior players of the Indian team was not selected in the Zimbabwe tour as it was mentioned they deserve a break. In my view, after the pathetic performance in the World T20 Cup, they probably deserve a long break or may be a permanent break.
When you see the IPL Semifinals of CSK and Match before, the amount of Courage and desire to excel shown by Dhoni was missing when he plays for the country.
I am not against IPL but let me put few things on the table.
IPL has surely made India's chances miserable.
All international players who played in IPL have understood the weakness of Indian cricket and took advantage.
Players like Jayawardhene who was considered to be fit for only test matches, earned his form from IPL and he's is gonna win the Man of The Series Award
Team Selection could have been better. Sidelining specialilst bowlers like Piyush Chawla and Vinay Kumar was a mistake. apart from being frontline bowlers, as batsmen their contribution would dhave been better than so called allrounders who failed miserably. Yuvaraj was totaly off colour and his body language in no way showed his total involvement. Harbajan failed to take wickets as a frontline bowler.
They don't care about wining in big tournaments as they are earning hell lot of money in IPL.BCCI only know how to make revenue using this players.So many factors are there because of IPL.Players Injury,Huge Amount of money,lack of commitment,no patriotism.Sehwag probably best T20 player but he is sitting out continuously in 2 WC because of IPL injury.But we Indians never realise that and whenever there is IPL matches we will go there and watch them shame on US
