More Time!!!
by kush chatterjee on May 10, 2010 04:15 PM

More time for what? To hide his tracks? What about his earlier commitments on timely submission?? Sick guy to the core!!! Now there is no doubt that he had built the entire IPL on deception and corruption.

How could BCCI promote this proven criminal to head the league? Did they not do any back ground check?

Just see what his lack of integrity has done to Indian cricket. We have become the laughing stock in front of the whole world.

When will we start respecting the basic human traits of integrity and honesty?

ICC World Cup T20 and India
by Bhaskar Shrinivasan on May 10, 2010 02:14 PM

India has lost two matches out of three in the Super 8 round and faces an outside chance to qualify. To my mind the team did not work out its SWOT strategy well. On bouncy wickets the spinners should have controlled both speed and trajectory to avoid being clobbered allover and the batsmen should have exercised restraint by playing sedately to build a good score by say 14th over retained wickets and then increased the rate in the slog overs. Such two pronged attack would have seen them through in both matches. Fielding was not up to the mark and the overall demeanour of the team was lack lustre as if none was worried about maintaining the country's leadership in the game. IPL has certainly drained them of any interest in the World Cup tournament. Besides out of form players should not be lugged along. Bhaskar

what is required now to qualfy

What India needs to do to qualify for Semi Final?
With big loss against Australia in first super eight game their net run rate has also taken beating considerably and at presently their NRR is hovering at -1.58.
The equation for them is also not as easy as for the West Indies or Sri Lanka. Here is the scenario, if they bat first they must beat Sri Lanka by 20 runs or more margins and if they have to chase down the Sri Lankan total then they must chase down in 17.3 overs or less.
Not only that they have to also hope that West Indies loss their game against Australia to make them qualify for the semi final.

IPL

1) Shorten it. Teams to play each other once
2) IPL must not go for more than 20 days
3) Most important, their should be cap on money being paid to players. It should not be more than what they get for playing for the country.
4) No individual to head the council and all decisions must be taken by a board comprising of former cricket players.
5) Kapil Dev must be in the governing council
6) No politician to be the member of IPL governing council.

These are great suggestions and IPL should follow it. I earnestly suggest you Mr. R K, forward these suggestions to BCCI through their web site.
Every Indian would agree to your suggestions. Great ... Keep it up.

Both Modi (Narinder and Lalit) are culprit. One is for killing and second for corruption.

Hang both of them please

best thing is to end IPL or shorten it. C INDIA is losing T20 WC, just bcoz of the hectic & pressure in IPL. players seems to b tired, so not only lalit modi but IPL also needs to b suspended for betterment of INDIAN cricket.

not true , see pakis they are fresh ,didn play in IPL still in same boat as India , we tend to jump to obvious conclusions. if you can play short pitch deleveries & can hold on to your catches you can win simple as that

you are right akshay, why are we doing the same mistake year after year, I know the batsman has the potential, can't they just practice how to hit the short balls on fast track, we boast to have some of the best batsman in the world, by practicing india can do better in fast tracks.

IPL has to be shotned. Every team need not play twice against all the teams. One time is enough.

Absolutely tru...it should last in max 20 days...money factor must come down...player pay amount should be on par with what they get for playing for the country, then only they will give importance to playing for the country
