What BS, why do you call paying tax loosing when common man
by Shri Hegde on May 09, 2010 05:40 PM

tax is directly deducted at source after whole month's toil, while these people get paid ridiculously like - Rs 1Lakhs for throwing 1 ball or scoring 1 run.
It was crime if these people were not asked to pay tax before, in fact the tax needs to be collected for last 3 years.

IPL Stars stand to lose one-fifth of their earnings as tax.

At last the I-T Dept has woken up after two IOLs in India [One is not aware of the tax status of the 2nd IPL held in RSA].
This news item is dated May 9th and the players have been asked to get their PAN cards before March 31, 2010! Also some players played in the 3rd IPL held after March 31 2010.
As always, we wake up late, and that too when there is fight between two [in this case between LKM and ST]
