ICL was headed by Kapil Dev, the pioneer of match fixing in India. If match fixing was rampant in ICL, it should only be regarded as natural. If we see the tapes that Manoj Prabhakar secretly recorded, it becomes beyond reasonable doubt that Kapil Dev offered money to players to throw away matches. Navjot Sidhu even gave him the epithet of 'chacha pachees lakh'. This is the way that many Indian institutions function, be it in the field of sports, government, infotech, or just any other. One character attains an eminent position, by hook, crook, and in some cases, by hard work and talent, like in the case of Kapil Dev. This character then takes undue advantage of his position, and tries to manipulate and control things according to his/her whims. As a result, many promising people suffer, and over the long term, the institution itself suffers. Kapil Dev patronized people from his state, while ignoring talent from the rest of India. He tried a lot to bring up a none too good Chetan Sharma from Haryana, while there were many other promising fast bowlers in India. How is that Dennis Lilee from Australia travels all over the world nurturing cricket talent, while Kapil Dev indulges in petty regionalism? We need to broaden our minds, and accept each other as a brother/sister in the cause. Only then will we as Indians move ahead! Jai Hind!
I recently received a "forward" titled "to those gullible suckers who watched the ipl finals" Quote (only extracts as it is too lengthy)
Something about this loss doesn't feel right!" "Prior to the match I was told by a close friend 'mumbai can't win cos there are bets worth 1000s of Crores on them and bookies can't pay 1:3, or 1:6 odds!' "Csk will have to win" To this my reply was "you guys are cynical a**holes! how can you doubt the god of cricket's integrity" "And he said we'll see"
"with 30 balls to go and 60 odd to win, we see Mr.Duminy walk in. Your trump card Mr. Pollard walks in with 18 balls to spare, 8 down" "on the contrary Pollard has scored 97 of the last 33 balls faced by him. But to every one's disbelief, the unthinkable happened. "Pollard was left with an impossible task. Would things have been different had he come in a lot earlier? we will never know!
"Don't get me wrong, we can accept defeats gracefully. But with a ridiculous batting order, dropped catches, many attempts to run oneself out, I don't think we ever wanted to win" Unquote
So much for the big splash of the great T20. We suckers rightfully deserve this for going ga-ga over this fraud.

Mumbai public are never sporting.. not in supporting other teams nor in losing.. if their team losses then it is match fixing and other nonsense they talk. CSK deserved to win as they were a better team and the most consistent team in all the 3 IPL's.
"There are so many games in an IPL season - with more to come with new franchises - that the number of dead, irrelevant games will increase and this is where bookies thrive."
If he is so much worried, let him prvent Pak players from playing for IPL. Anyway, the IPL looked good without these backstabbing players from Pakistan who play for a religion rather than for country or clubs.
What he wears on eyes same color he sees everywhere. So he and his teammates themselves are big cheat and think world is full of cheat. Why dont Mr. Latif talking on Sydney test match.
